Opinions Wanted...Most Difficult Battle

Just wondered what everyone thought was the toughest part of the game. I haven't quite completed the game (about 1/3 of the way through Karnak at night) but so far I think that the scourge of Kleer in Metropolis is probably the toughest. Followed by the entire arena sequence at the end of Metropolis and then the first Lava Golem battle. Oh, almost forgot the room full of infernal frogs. Aieeeeeee!!!! :)

Metropolis was insane, that section right after the spike pit.  Absolutely insane.  After that, I don't think it was that difficult again until maybe the hike toward the Great Pyramid with Ugh Zan breathing down your neck.  That deserves the title of Most Excellent Level Design.  :)

I enjoyed bowling in The Great Pyramid level.  In the first moment I tought they'll never stop coming but later I wished they never stop coming :)

in the great pyramid you can be cheap and rocket jump up on the wall and pick them off. Thou I find it to be a bore if done this way

The Metropolis, by far, in MP on Serious Diff (one of the few places I ever die). The Great Pyramid is a joke compared to it. I can take out Ugh-Zan faster by myself in MP (about 5 min, he's a puss). But by yourself in MP, the first arena on that level is a bitch. The kleer waves are unreal, fifty a pop (I've counted by the way). The bull's are a joke in comparison.

Yeah, you can RJ at The Great Pyramid, but what's the point? The Green Goblins will take care of your ass, and nothing beats the rush of taking on 50 kleer at once by yourself and surviving.

Second on the list has to be Luxor. You have to play smart and hard to make it through that one alive, especially the last part, with the four Gold Ankhs.

Hey don't cheap the rocket jump, but it does remind me of sitting in a tree a picking off helpless deer. :( . I really like those frogs, I usually laugh so hard I can't shoot straight. I play the great pyramid section over and over, a great level indeed.

Metropolis every time.... and I do go back there over and over again. 2nd certainly the great Pyramid.
Must admit I do lack experience in all sorts of PC games.

the only battle i have real problems with (on Normal difficulty) is the first attack in front of the Temple of Ptah at the end of Metropolis; Kleer, Kamis, Reptiloids and Minor Mehanoids. only done it w/o dying in Split screen and extra enemies once. blasted reptils.. heh

The great pyramid (kleers in the arena), the great pyramid (after doors open), last arena in luxor (4 anks, specially when the scorps appear), last arena in Karnak, last arena in metropolis, the frog room in Oasis ans obviously the kleer swarm in metropolis..... but another though run is going from level 1 to level 4 in hard or higher WITHOUT any secret weapon (rocket launcher or tommygun). The shotguns are anemic to handle that.

Hardest?? I would say the arena in the great pyramid (kleers and mechanoids, bulls are easy IF you time them correctly.... if not, then you are a "matador muerto")

Hardest level I've had, on Normal, would be Metropolis, after the spikes, bulls, kleers, mechs... Pyramid would rank a close second, especially when you're standing in the middle of reds and blues on both sides. I did play a Coop the other day; network settings of 400% extra strength, +200% per player, total of 7 players for the game--Got to be interesting when it took 5 cannonballs for one kleer. :kleer:

Metropolis is fun, I love to slaughter the dozens of kleers with my minigun. But The great pyramid is just a little bit more fun.
