Im almost positive its the torus primitive thing that allows me to do curve-like archi, but i get some error about not being planar or something and see no polys or anything anywhere in the map, a little help?

there's a dropdown menu near the primitive buttons. select one of the options that isn't the top one. I think they are labelled "vertex _" or something like that.

BTW, you can use the "center" option, but that will create 4 times the polys of the other methods.

Yeah how do you use that tool. I've made 5 maps and i've never used it!

Click the torusCSG button, then if prompted with an information/error message just keep clicking OK until the message goes away, then select desired triangularization and adjust the torus's dimensions and other settings, set it to room or non-room and then add, join or subtract it.

Experiment with the settings

K now i want to make it reflecty kind of like the arches in the tech demo but more "reflecty" or something as long as its shiny, a tutorial i could be pointed to?

Add a specular or reflective texture.
