I need help

OK I am a this, I never made a map before except the onefrom the serious editor help. I want to do a kind of dbz map (a big, rocky/desert map). Could you tell me what I need to read before I can do this.

THe question is so vague.

You need rocks, a desert, desert textures sage and cactus models right?

Read my skybox tutorial or the one on seriously to make a sky for the desert.

Check out the tutorials available here on Seriously! (www.planetserious.com) and on Serious Editing (www.massassi.net/serious). Also download and browse through Serious Editor: Item-by-Item v0.34, which is available here on Seriously in the Downloads - Miscellaneous area and on Serious Editing in the file downloadss area. Also, wouldn't hurt to browse the mapping forums on both sites a bit and get familiar with using their search facilities, which will let you hunt down discussions of topics that you are interested in. You'll need to review the basics of creating a playable world, backgrounds (skyboxes), terrain, ....... And don't forget to at least browse through all topics in the editor's help.

You'll be able to fly around (it's kind of a dbz mod) should I make a skybox then or not?

Do note that if you want it to be completely DBZ (with powers and flying instead of weapons) you'll need a coder to implement the changes.
