When you say ping, you mean framerates, right? Ping usually refers to the online speed, and the low ping you get from playing online comes from your modem.
Well, for framerates, ask about mip mapping, something I don't know much about. Try to cut back on some of the details in the map... this will keep the engine from rendering as much. Also, you used different layers in the map, right? This will improve the framerates. If you added everything to one worldbase, then you can split up some of the sectors and hope for better framerates. Try making new sectors behind obstacles you can't see behind.
Also, if you want people to play and test the map, put a thread in the showcase forum with lots of nice screenshots, and the higher traffic in that forum will most likely snag a playtester.
Good luck with the map!

OK, had a quick look at you map:
Detail vs non-detail seems to be good.
- Sectoring! You must split up your map in several sectors. I draw some white lines on the screenshot, where I would split the sectors of this map.
- Seperate layer geometry. I would also use seperate layers for some of the geometry - allmost the same stuff you marked as 'detail polygons'. I made a blue dot, on the geometry I would have as layers, instead of having them added to the main worldbase.

Oh oh... ich hab auch erst immer gedacht, dass es besser sei, ein ganzes Level aus einem Sektor zu bauen - dann hab ich mir die Anleitung durchgelesen.
