Nice tutorial. That could have come in handy before I found out that the light beam was a model :D No doubt there will be alot more light beams in maps to come.

I realized the lightbeams were models pretty early on. I was flying through FE’s technology test level, and tried to select the polygons in one of the skylight’s lightbeams. It didn’t work, and about five minutes later I discovered the truth. Maybe I should start pointing out obvious facts about the serious engine for those of us who missed them.:D

I think you guys have become too familiar with everybody. We all know each other, been around for awhile, so we forget what it is to be brand new. Then there are people who do not like to explore to learn. They like lessons structured, as opposed to blindly flailing around a map with 1000 entities. ;)
I think people forget how much they know compared to when they first started.
