Well if you want, now you can create your own scalable walls! I found this out very recently, and it's not hard to do. Take your basic wall, and change around the properties a little bit. Check them as stairs, and put the surface as "standard - high stairs".

Next, put a distinguishable texture on it. Jump right next to the wall, and press the forward key to stop your jump and "stick" to the wall. Jump again, stick...just don't jump for too long, or you'll fall off. This is a bug I guess, but it doesn't seem to harm the game at all...

Also, when falling off big heights, walking off ledges does lots of damage. Jumping off them does none at all. Just thought I'd share!

I found that out too. I made the vertical wall a climable slope and checked it as "stairs" and the same effect happens.

Hmm, this sounds very useful for the Megaman: Time Fusion mod. It could save me a lot of trouble coding stuff if it works properly. Thanks you guys!

I've got a couple of ladders in my map too, I did it like Smithboy.  One weird thing is that when I first did it I shot up the ladder really fast. I dunno what I changed but the speed is normal now.

FYI: The 'Standard - High Stairs' flag will make you move up the poly in one step.

i tried this in the template map and i got all the way to the top without falling. this can be useful in a map, but you have to explain how to do it in-game via a trigger or something.

Well I believe SS++ has a ladder property that works lots better than that. Why not use that?
