I heard somewhere that it is possible to make terrain using terragen, then import it into the Serious Editor so it is part of your map.  How do I do this?

U don't take the terrain out of terragen as such but export it as a grayscale heightmap which you can then use in Sam for your terrain.  There should be a few heightmap tutorials kicking around.

on the black an white fuzzy image of the terrain in terragen, press print screen. Paste it into an imaging program like irfanview, and crop the picture so you only have the gray area. export this as a tga to your serious sam folder, and make your terrain from it.

For the topmap, render the image from about 6000 feet up with the zoom on full. print that screen, and do the same thing as the black and white picture, only make it a texture.

create the terrain, then select all the polies on the terrain and texture it with the topmap texture.

heres my snowfield.
