well, you could also just do it with animated lights. but to do animated texture, create the frames in photoshop, then Creat Texture, pick animated, and then select all your frames, and then delete all the (null) bits and replace them with .TGA or .PCX depending what you used. Then hit Refresh, and save it. TaDA! but i really recommend you use is animated lights. To do that, click the animated lights button (colored dots, by the World Properties button) and you can add keys, change the color and speed. You would then load this into one of your lights using the Animation File property of a light.

I thank u all coming up with something i allready know, wich is I ALLREADY KNOW ANIMATED LIGHTS! but it's kinda weird if your lamp doesn't flicker, Lighst flickers so so should the texture. Simple. Only anilight= ugly anilight+anitexture=PERFECT! thanks for telling me how to do the ani textures btw. I'll do that and make my map Da Cool Map! ;D

if the animated light has a nice bright hot spot, it will make the texture look animated even if it isnt, especially if you dont have a lot of ambient light around.

Hey LSD, could you explain that again in engligh?  I think I missed the part "and then select all your frames, and then delete all the (null) bits and replace them with .TGA or .PCX depending what you used".

Is this in Photoshop, or SED?  "replace them with .TGA or .PCX"  Huh?
