In the past I had tinkered with Doom II level editors, spent a lot of time with the Duke Nukem 3D Build level editor, briefly touched upon an Unreal level Editor and dabbled with Quake II skin design (I created 1 or 2 of my own). I have never created 3D graphic models before.

What do I need to do (or learn) to create models for Serious Sam? Where should I start?

From what I can make out from reading this board, models have to be created in a different program first, then imported into the Serious Modeller. Is this correct? If so, what is the Serious Modeller for?

Thanks in advance.

Making models for SS is same as making ones for Q3/UT/HL. Besides modeling you need to know mapping.
Serious Model(compiler) is used to import and adjust models/animations/skins and other informations needed in game.

Thanks for the reply Admir, I appreciate it.

I think I will try the Serious map editor first and try my hand at modelling when I have more time :)
