Hi, I donīt want to do anything difficult, just want include a wallpaper-
poster in my Serious Sam-Map. Now what do I have to do, and where
do I have to save the texture in order to be able to select it in the editor?
I know I need to do a .tga first and then load into the Serious Modeler
to make it a texture, but what then? And what size should/must it
have?

THANKS

The tga has to have the size of a power of 2, i.e. 128, 256 etc...width and height dont need to be the same though...
You just need to have it somewhere in your SS dir, if you use Autogro it won't really matter where... I usually keep my textures in TexturesMP\Custom\

Yep, thanks, just created my texture and saved it. But how do I get it to
show up in the virtual tree, so I can apply it?

you don't need them in the Vrt to apply them, just select the polygon you want to apply to, go into the toolbox and select the little [...] thing, now find your texture.
If you want to add them to the vrt for ease of use, make a new folder by selecting the TEXTURES folder in the Vrt, now right click on it and click New Folder. Select the name and Icon you want, go inbto that new folder and click Add Item, find the texture you want.

To add a whole ton of Items, you can select more than one when loading the item.

Unfortunately I donīt know which little [...] thing you mean. I got:
Textures, Tutorials, Levels, Models, Basic Entities, Additional Entities,
Backgrounds, Enemies, but nothing like you described. I am sorry,
but could you describe it a little more detailed? THANK YOU!

I also donīt have the option: AddItem. I can create a folder in the
virtual tree, but I donīt know how to add things. Could it be, this
was only possible for FE?

look at the virtual tree, use Insert Items/Delete Items to add your textures when you right-click in that little black box. and in this case you don't have to go into modeler to create your texture, use the Create and Add Texture option in SEd.

And hey Shrink, how about using them new mod skills and move this thread to the mapping section :P?

Big thanks again to you two guys! It works now, I was clicking all over the
place, īxcept the right places! :D

And when I posted into the wrong forum, I am truly sorry. I thought
it was a texture-question so it belongs into the texture-section.
How wrong I was . . . ;)
