Hi, I'm a very new mapper and even newer moderler, and I was wondering if anyone knows of some good, easy to follow tutorials for the first time modeler with no experience at all. Thanks

If you are talking about modelling in general, see places like www.polycount.com, www.3dpalette.com, www.skindom.com and many many others.
As far as a particular modeler for actually creating characters/animations....depends on the package you use (Serious Modeler is actually something else). If you have lots of money to spend....3D Studio Max and Lightwave are likely candidates.....if you are a mere mortal like me....you are probably looking at MilkShape 3D (normally at www.swissquake.ch/chumbalum-soft/ms3d/index.html but currently at http://www.madtoaster.com/milkshape3d due to web site problems) or possibly Blender (www.blender.nl). There are others. This sort of thing has been discussed previously, here in this forum.
Relative to modeling for/in Serious, see the following to get up to speed......the readme that accompanied the game, the Serious Sam FAQ available on this site, these forums (they are searchable..and also worth going through manually in their entirety if you are serious about getting involved), the Serious editor and modeler help files (they contain tutorials).
Good luck.

Can't wait to see all the new models. Hope you make a cool player model. My suggestion is Bill Clinton.
