Hello to all. I'm thinking about making a mod though I'm new to this. I have some problems on creating the maps I need, the tutorial was really helpful but I don't know how to create doors, how to use haze and fog, and how to create flames (torches etc.).

to put up torches use the modelholder entity. u can even load one of Sam's levels, load your level, copy and paste modelholder entities if i recall right. lots of different ways to do things.

I'm fairly certain fog/haze tutorials are on Seriousengine but heres the brief description.
To use haze, put a Haze Marker into the world. Then select the worldbase you want the haze to apear on. In the drop down menu with all it's properties there will be ones for Haze 0, Haze 1 etc. You can have many different haze markers used by each worldbase. Select one of them, for example Haze 1 and choose the Haze Marker as it's target.
Now go into Sector Mode (press S) and select the sector(s) you want the haze to apear in.
In the tools (press Q) set the Haze property to the haze marker. (the marker will not apear on this list unless you have first set it for the worldbase.)
Go back to the Haze Marker and set it's propertys to get hte kind of haze you want. (it wont show up btw in all editor views, only #6 i think. Fog works the same way...

:) Thank's everyone! I have two more questions if it's not a trouble. I want to create some mirrors in my maps, but when I choose mirror option in textures and then blend on the floor for example it seems to be like a glass, like it's transparent or something and not like a mirror at all when I test the map (I follow the intructions of serious editor tutorial)! Why is that? And could you tell me how to import textures in serious editor like images of wood or metal surfaces? And again thank you!
