Actually, it works out that it is in metres, Sam is just a bit tall. Anyway, for scaling maps in the editor all you have to do is deselect all, right click in a viewport and choose "Mirror and Stretch Entire World" and enter the multiplier you want to change the size by.

Or you could say the units are inches and Sam is just a bit short. :P
Based on Sam's size, I would guess that a unit is closer to two and a half feet than to a meter.

some stats about sam:
Serious Sam Stone is approx 2.3m tall,
he is wider than the normal human, and as such can not fit in most normal sized doors,
crouching he can not duck under a hole only 1m high. he just hits his head.
if you want accurate measurements you could change to using metres.
failing that you could always model the map 10 times the size then when finished devide the whole by 3, i think this will convert the final model from metres to feet.
remember 1 foot ~= 30cm = 0.3metres therefore 10 feet ~= 3 metres. that's about all the help i can give ya i'm afraid.

Sam is alittle odd in height/width/shape and that prevents me from using good scaling.
I always make too big/small rooms/corridors e.t.c.
Thanks for your advice...
I acually have a specific reason for wanting to scale my toolshed. I just got a new mill and I want to see how well it's going to fit with the bike. :D. Is there any way to change serious sam's growth issues (I.E. Take him off steriods...) I stacked 1M blocks on top of each other and came up with about 2.3M. Yikes thats tall. But thats not the only issues with scaling im having...
One of the objects that is going in my room is a 7 foot bike (tall) this is about the same hieght as Sam, 2.1M. But the bike towers over him! I assume that croteam to make it look better, but doesn't work well for my application :/
Off topic a little... does anyone know of a softwear package that I could ahieve this with?

Select the bike and change the modelholder's stretch value :)

Someone really needs to find a way to add a player stretch multiplier. Not only could that help with this, but it could add really cool effects.
Also, is there anyway to make the snap for the editor smaller?
