View Full Version : 3Dmax World/ Entityobjects

I read a topic in the mapping forum that someone build a few of his complete structures with 3DMax and I´m wondering how can I add them then.
Must I import them first to Serius modeler, compile it and after that, add them to a list :)?

Import it in Serious Editor, but mapping and additional properties are lost, you will need to remap it and remove unnecessary polygons..

Another thing you can do, make highpoly object in max or whereever and create model of it. Import it as .mdl in Editor, make low poly version of that object and import it directly in Editor to be used as collision for highpoly model (check portal on first level, its model with "brush" as collision).

better support I cannot imagine, thanx a lot :)
I´m also better in highpoly modeling in 3Dmax and I take my time to learn ALL of that great stuff that omes with the editors!

If you gonna use Editor, you better learn it :) tho some nice things can be done with models/brushes combo. Karnak was firstly done in Lightwave and imported in Editor :)
