This idea was pressing my brain long time ago, but it was realised right now. Maybe it was on this forum, but search can't find such material. So....her's the SCREENSHOT ! Pay attention to the borders of the puddle- they are blended. Details will be later...

I remember something like this being posted before, you used a mirror and a 2nd texture with alpha layer which doesn't reflect, I think.

Even the first texture layer is enough if you are not using 1/0 alpha.
Anyways, looks cool!

Hey when using this alpha palette for a particle texture, you can even make the puddle sides move a bit...

Hmm, yeah, but we really need some semi transparent/semi reflecting effect, that would look much better :)

You can't make semi transparent/reflective tex right now =) But I've found another way. Actually this puddle is a room with the smallest height avaliable, added to the world. Floor of this small room is the reflective texture, and the celing is the alpha texture of the puddle. Well, forget bout this crap- pics will describe it much better =)) Wait a bit...
