Hello everyone, like many people, I want to start a mod with the serious sam engine. *I can do little coding, but I am a good level and game designer.
The theme of the mod is quite original. *Me and my friend *finished the begining of the story. *I havent finished developping and sketching out in words how the levels and theme however I would like to get some ideas of other people in the team.
here's the story, the name of the mod might be called Oblivion Wars, although that can be changed in thre future:

Oblivion Wars
The year is 2183. *Earth has been forever changed by the vast industrialization of its surface. The sky is completely blocked by brown smog and radioactive gasses, which prevents all sunlight shining on this once green and blue world. *Faced with imminent extinction due to extreme climate change of the planet, man has been forced to look to other worlds to survive... our solar system, Alpha Solaris, has been entirely colonized and raped of its useful resources.
All hope had seemed lost until a mysterious gateway was discovered deep in the ruins of South America. The worlds leading scientists, theologists, and historians had all concluded that this was in fact a gateway to Hell. Closer inspection turned towards the other side of the gateway... if this was Hell, it was completely void of inhabitants as far as anyone could tell. Several research teams returned to Earth claiming that the whole first 'layer' of Hell was empty. No structures, no inhabitants, just a barren wasteland forever burning.
Morgan Azure, Chairman CEO of the world's largest corporation, Azure Enterprises, had the brilliant idea of colonizing Hell. He managed to convince the Sol Council to colonize hell to reach the magnificent power that could be gained through Hell's thermal energy would be enough to save Alpha Solaris and Earth for all eternity.
After bidding farewell to the desolate planet Earth, 60,000,000 colonists from all over Alpha Solaris embarked through the gateway and began building humanity's hope inside the very dimension that man was taught to fear since birth. Morgan Azure himself was to be the leader of the brave colonists.
In 2195, the first of the massive cities that would power Earth had been completed and began sending immeasurable power surges through the gateway. *Earth was saved by Hell's furnace and all had appeared to be going well.
Soon the populations expanded and the cities grew larger until the Independent United-Factions of Oblivion were formed. *But something went wrong... *A massive gamma ray burst passed through Alpha Solaris frying Alpha Solaris completly ...including our planet Earth. *Nobody could explain why that has happened so sudden. *Now all that was left of human civilization were the gigantic cities built upon the surfaces of Hell.
Some else went wrong, Men of Oblivion began to change, mentally at first, and becoming more evil and more aggressive, and then all of a sudden their physical characteristics began to change as well. The deepest cities into Hell began first, men, women, children and animals from Earth transforming into horrid freaks of nature. *They began to wage war upon other Factions until the only city left entirely human was that of Morgan Azure, at the very edge of Hell.
The United-Factions of Oblivion split and war broke out between the cities. Morgan Azure's city managed to keep from demon infestation due to his high tech arsenal of weaponry and medicine, but all sense of humanity outside of the Great City was lost...
The year is now 2245... 50 years of Hell has passed. *Now you and your comrades from the former human legions of Oblivion, you must save what is left of humanity from the new demons of Hell.
