View Full Version : I've got some good mod ideas

I know some C and some C++, but that's about it.

The mod I want to make is based on the Gundam Wing series.  This engine is perfect for making those huge space battlefields.  Imagine fighting through hordes of mobile dolls to a space colony.  Then go in, fighting mobile dolls through the hallways.  Then exit your mobile suit and fight hand to hand through a huge space station, get what you need, and fight your way back to earth.  

Just thought I'd throw that out there.  Maybe if one of you guys want to run with this idea, do it.  Of course, it would be better if you could get an "ok" from the Gundam people...

I do believe I like that idea quite a bit =) It would be quite a job to implement, for sure, but what a way to show off the engine's potential! After the final battle at the Great Pyramid, I doubt there would be any problems with models of the scale you'll need. Making the player model that big (and having the viewpoint that high) might result in some unforseen problems to fix, but I don't see why it wouln't work. Best of luck to you =)

great idea Htown! I think that this would be an excellent task for the Serious Engine! you might want to get in touch with the Gundam Wing liscencing department and bring the idea to their attention as well as the Croteam develeopers. It would be worth their while to use the idea to make a new Serious Sam game, but call it "Serious Gundam" or something like that, or even just someone to make a MOD out of it called "Serious Gundam". btw, I, like you, have hardly any talent except for computer art and a small bit of C++, CSS, and Java knowledge

  There's a program out from Japan called DOGA-L1 that you could use to make your mech fast and easy. They export DXF well, but I don't know if they export OBJ (I'm not at home right now or I'd find out).
Just type In DOGA-L1 in any search engine, it should come up. I have to get my pic posted somewhere on the web but I gotta find out where so I can stick it here. :confused:
