Serious Star Wars 2

Ok people....for those of you who asked me to contact lucasarts in fear that a starwars mod would be shutdown...
There seems to be no problem with using the general idea of Star Wars, but if we steal existing files from existing lucasarts games, then we would be up for a lawsuit.  But this was never my intent.  With me, Viper45, and his bro creating a custom storyline, we can also do sounds, images, and we are learning levels.  Just really in need of Coders, Modelers, and a few more Level Artists.  This is still a little up in the air but I am working to get this going.  I have done some work with a website and also, Viper45 and his bro are going to help me with a title, story, and gameplay issues.  What do yall think?  Any talent out there would be greatly appreciated in the near future.  With the Serious Sam engine this could be unlike any starwars mod or game (no offense lucasarts) that has been seen.

Yes we are, I am working on mapping right now, its pretty easy, dont know how to model though...

Erm - no previous mod for quake 2 etc has had files ripped from previous star wars games, but they still got foxed.. Are you sure you're safe?

If you are, more power to you! I want to take on armies of battledroids with big nasty force powers (bigger than any previously seen!).

he contacted Lucas Arts and made sure it was ok with them, they said that we just cant take out any files from other Lucas Arts games (I think, or am I mistakin, Wolf?).  So it should be fine.  I hope.

You know about the history of the whole Jedi-Sith war thing?
Like how there was that huuuuge battle with thousands of jedi and thousands of sith and at the end the sith were wiped out except for like one guy?

I wanna see a level like THAT.

Well they said you can't make a game based on their story line right?  Does that mean lucas arts story line or every starwars storyline there is IE the delray books.  Or even a little fact like a huge sith battle.  You might have to make a truly new story line but just with starwars creatures and the starwars waorlds planets...  Hey I say go for it but I'd hate to see all that hard work go to waste because of some beefed up company not letting anyone touch their invention.
