We have a new kitty and I am looking for some fun geeky kitty name suggestions. So far these are the ones we have come up with:

Scampers/scamp
Nermal (Garfield)
Azriel (Smurfs)
MAD cat (Inspector Gadget)
Kirby
Tyr
Loki
Yggdrasil
Link
Mikhail Illrionovich Kutuzov
Admiral Akbar
Captain Peaches
Mr. boots
Gin Tonic
catbert

Any suggestions?

I wanted to name our kitty Link, but Entroper wouldn't let me :(

Definitely go with that, or Nermal if it's a girl.

So what you end up naming your kitty?

I do like Link a lot :-D Its a boy, but Nermal was a boy kitten on Garfield (seriously) :-D

I thought Nermal was a girl...
We ended up naming the kitten Guinness. If we get another male, we'll probably call it porter :P

You should name the cat Schrödinger. I think that is the ultimate geeky cat name. Named aptly after this:

Hehe, if you're going to name it after a CPU at least go with something like Conroe (the Core2Duo series by Intel). That sounds cooler :P

My first cat I named Isis because her breed resembled the cats shown in Egyptian stuff (Like statues)

I keep looking at the picture and thinking:

"It's dangerous to go alone! Here, take this!"

Just because I haven't seen it yet, the ultimate for geeky kitty names would be Linux.

Other choices that would be more chic-y and less geeky:

Zaphod
Leeloo

Thee Goat Pig

My sister decided to name our cat Zelda.

My family has never once called it Zelda. We prefer to call it 'toots' instead.

When a name given because a cat farts is a better name than Zelda, it says someting. Don't name the cat Link, plz.

Good thing you decided not to. Dogs are already embarrased enough by stupid pet clothes, it doesn't need to happen to cats

Hello Vivian and welcome to the forums. I couldn't help but notice you appear to be affiliated with the site you link to, so you're most likely the owner. As this is your first time post, it looks a lot like you're just trying to promote your site, especially more so since this thread hasn't been active in over eight years. So I've taken down your source link (for now). Correct me if I'm wrong though, you are most welcome here. ;)

Edit: It's even more obvious that, because you've set off email notifications, you never plan on coming back here.

That's kind of annoying that the link to where I found those names was removed. I think it is important to give credit to a source (at least that's what they teach in school!) and I am sure there are those here who could use this list of cat names.

Anyways, since the link is apparently not allowed. The name of the site where I found those names is:

*Not even named*

And, just in case, they realize the obviousness of allowing a source to be cited, here is a link to the site again:

*Link 86'd*

Seriously? Are you for real? It's obvious it's your site and you need views. You're bumping an eight year old thread on this forum to link to your site. Please read my post again, the problem is not your site, it's you. Prove you're a contributing member before you're allowed to post links to your own site. This is not your personal Google Imdex booster. I've made myself clear, and any further links will result in the banning of your account and possibly your IP.

Edit:

No, but I have become friends with the owner of that site, because she helped me personally when dealing with my kitten's disease.

That warms the cockles of my heart. It's a nice book, but I don't buy it. The email address you registered with is the same as the site you attempt to link to.

And as you can see, I did come back.

... to post more links, which does not work in your favor. It's really simple: Contributing members can post links to their own (or affiliated) stuff, which you are not yet.
