needs to be populated with more weapons but it's a start....the map has a couple teleporters like in quake 3....love some feed back on this one......my next practice map will be an office building....

That map is a bit like KissMyAxe's Stratosfear.. on some betas he had hitscan weapons there, and I found them most annoying; you know someone's shooting you, but s/he might be just about anywhere on the map. So this is kind of a warning not to use tommy/minigun, but your map is rather 'sparse', so you can't aim and shoot across the map. Some playtesting is required though.
Landing after getting catapulted caused some damage, if I kept moving forward while in air.

Otherwise your movement in this map relies heavily on certain jump pads (which goes against my principles of DM level design, but again, I'm just a newbie when it comes to mapping and DM)

thanx for the comments.....most space DM levels rely heavily on the bounce pads.....I can't think of a single quake 3 space map that doesn't.....let me know if u find anything else...thanx

There's nothing wrong in using bounce pads. As I've already stated, I find them much better than endless staircases. It's just that I dislike having the map divided in two and only one corridor/ teleporter/ bounce pad allows you to move from one place to another. You could easily set up a camp near such a place and they'd have no other choice but to walk up straight into the ambush. That's what I meant when I said that 'map relies heavily on certain jump pads'. Each part is connected to íts neighbours with only one pad (in each direction).

Otherwise your map seems good. Nice texturing, no slowdowns. But the fun factor comes out only at actual game situation.. I've just taken a stroll about.

Looks like a fun map! Just two things to comment: I constantly got damaged after using the various pads, espacially the long range one- I think you should turn your polygons to surface/no damage (espacially the pillars, I constantly got flung into them). Also, after using the pad into the teleporter a couple of time, I missed the teleporter and fell into space... So how about enlarging it a bit?

only additions i can make are

it seems overly large you could scale it down a little bit

and the framerates suck on the low end machine 20fps

I'm thinking about doing a space map with a sun(I.E. gigantic lens flare, has gravity, hurts/kills you when you're too close) or maybe one with wierd gravity effects that let you use both sides of a ledge and such. Not sure what I'm gonna do yet..
