Hi all,
Been lurking here for awhile now. I just released my first DM map for Serious Sam. Please feel free to post any problems, suggestions, ideas you may have about the map in this post. I am always looking for new ways to improve my mapping techniques.

And the map would be found at .. ?
Woops, ignore that :) Found it already..
I haven't playtested it (yet), but the map seems to have nicely space to move and the powerup distribution seems fine. I'd say that could be a good map, but I can't say that for sure without some playtesting.
One thing caught my eye; the corridor with some columns on its sides and powerups between them; I find the columns a bit too close to each other. Player taking them has to spend far too much time on going into indentation and that causes some unnecessary gameplay slowdown. (My opinion). I don't know what other ppl think about it..

Thanks for the feedback Ive. I definately see what you are saying with that one area being a bit to close together. And it is definately something I will watch for in future designs, or if I decide to eventually do a remake of this level.
I think the biggest challenge for me trying to get used to this new engine and editor, has been getting a feel for the scale of things. No matter how much I think I made something that feels the right size, if I look at it in 3rd person, sam always seems so small next to my architecture.
But eventually I am sure with enough practice and experimentation it will all become second nature. This has certainly been the shortest learning curve I have ever had for an editor. At first it was so foriegn, but it is amazing how quickly everything falls into place and makes sense once you get into it.
