I'm back :)
The other map I made a while ago corrupted with some sort of CHUNK ID error (expected 'dict' but found '') So I started another one. That ended up getting messed up after I got bored with it, so I started this. I personally think it looks better then the last ones, and it played nicer too.

Anyway, scweenies!

So many details!! (<- a good thing) I barely have the patience to do some simple trims! Waiting for the full thing.

Very nice indeed! Croteam quality! :)

What's your r_speeds? Your level looks like a killer.

(And isn't that zbuffer errors  on the stairs? ;)

Your shadows are too dark, otherwise it's great!

Thanks for your input guys :)
I tried my hardest to resemble Croteam's maps, because I just beat the game again, and I still love the way that theres always something off in the background, like an obelisk, or a pyramid, etc.
I also tried to make a more realistic lens flare, seeing as humans can't see lens flares. Instead, there is just a sort of glow you see on the torches, and when you look straight in, your screen goes totally bright.

As for framerates, the map plays great on my cruddy little comp, and if my machine can handle it, anyones cam ;) The FPS never goes below 20.

And I might be including some extra models such as tripod torches, and some bones or something.

Oh, and expect lots of crazy scripting :)

are the trees light sources? the contrast between the lighter and the shadowed areas seem to be too high in general. All in all that is some great mapping and detail there, though.

it looks really dark for an outside daytime area, what about if it had a dusk sky??

It does. It uses the Alley of the Sphinxes Hard skybox.

That new screenshot looks frightning. Can't wait for the whole thing.
