Here we go! It's a pretty simplistic map, but it was a good way to learn terrain and it's troubles. These were all taken in the editor. In the screen with the hall-of-mirrors effect, you can see the difference between the normal rendering and the fog that passes by frequently simulating a windy sandstorm. My only real qualm with the map now is that the buildings don't cast shadows onto the terrain (due to it being fullbright and can't recieve shadows). If anyone knows a better way of getting it to work other than painful pixel pushing, let me know. I'm using terragen and PSP to create the terrain texture and heightmap.

Granted, this is mostly me playing LEGOs with Croteam's prefabs from other maps, but let me know what you think!

Looks great! I especially like that fog, it really creates a dry and hot atmosphere. Just put a nice wind sound there and it's perfect :)

Oh, the wind's already in there. :)

Also the light Dunes tune. So far I think that one has sounded the best. (for this map anyway)

That map does look good. It's really cool how all these mappers are using atmosphere effects to the maximum now :)
As for the shadows.. you could blame the dust for blocking the shadows...

I think it will do great with BA :)
