View Full Version : a look at my first humanoid model
bearing in mind:
i'm not good at humanoid models
it's only a torso and hastily thrown together (less than 3 minutes) arms
it sucks
i didn't take the time to make it what i wanted

Those both look pretty good for a first batch of models, and you did a pretty good job of that humanoid for 3 minutes. Only advice for you is try and make the muscles stand out for your humans, because it makes them look so much cooler :)

I thought that only the HANDS were made in 3 minutes..

I thought that only the HANDS were made in 3 minutes..correct
the whole thing took me (cumulatively) maybe 30 minutes
The two things I noticed:
-The chest "gap" on the torso model. This would be done better in a skin, I think, unless you were to make the chest have well-defined armor plates(and if you are, then the gap probably deserves to be wider or else those polys will go largely unseen). Otherwise very nice. I really like those arms despite what you might say about the construction time.
-Where do you grip that pistol? Right now it seems very...rectangular.
