Hey, its me again :)
I created a map called Hidden Village, and I took 4 screenies of the first 5 places in the map (the beginning wasn't too interesting)
I'm getting a variety of different things crammed into this like teleports, waterfalls, lots of abysses, and hopefully a big fat arena fight at the end.
Anyway, here's some scweenies.

Pay attention where you throw the banana! One sculpture had to die already :D. Seriously, where's that banana from?

Looking forward to play that nice level!

Very Nice indeed. :)

Might I enquire as to where you acquired the bent yellow fruit?  ;)

I find some constructive criticism better than just saying 'Pretty nice', so here's something I don't like in your screenshots (remember, that's is your map, not mine, so feel free to ignore what I'm saying) :

pic2. That strong contrast between light & shadow makes my eyes hurt. The texture in the arch might seem rather fuzzy.. I don't remember it being too accurate.

pic3. I think steps on stairs should not contact each other by only one edge (I mean, they should be either apart or have 'slope' as the bottom. Or something a bit more sturdy. The texturing of the walls seem a bit funny. Maybe I'm just not accustomed to placing two wall textures on same polygon. Decals yes, walls/floors no.

pics1,3,4: I prefer a rubber chicken to a banana.

That's it.. can't think of any other negative things :)

There's something funny with the 2d trees in pic one...

Anyhow, what's the deal with the banana?

Looks pretty good

the 2nd pic needs either light or a different texture on the black walls

pic 3 in general it just looks like it's missing something but I can't put my finger on it...

This should read "Hidden Village: The Monkey Kings Revenege". Love that banana. Can it be tossed? Like a boomarang? :)

Oh, the banana is just a knife replacement :)

Thanks for the critism. I know there was a lot of problems with the blue lit area, and the temple with the funny lighting, and I'm working on that right now as I'm posting it.
I'll probably have screenies up tomorrow.

By the way, I'll be releasing the banana with the map when its done :) Hopefully that will be in a couple of days.

In the areas with the torches and the boxes, I'd decrease the cluster size to get those cool shadow effects.

I would be a tad more discriminating with the ivy on the large building on the last picture... there is a noticable pattern, and only having it on the bottom would be sweet. As well as making the texture under it more recognizable, it would seem more natural.

That's a great looking map.
The banana should be made
into a separate knife model
replacement for fragmatch,
so we can start getting some
"the banana is too powerful"
threads.

Thanks for all the great comments guys :)
I noticed the ivy pattern in the last picture, and I've made it a bit better by rotating it and adding another layer of the same texture on top which is more transparent in order to create the look of a non patterning ivy.
Oh, and i did some banana revisions. Not much though. It'll be released soon though :)

Don't fiddle with your bananna too much or you might go blind.  :)
