I read somewhere that in SED u would be able to click and drag the terrain to make realistic looking terrains but i haven't found this option (mode?) yet!
Does anyone know about that?? :(

Oh ! and in WC when u wanted to make complex doors all waht u had 2 do was to say that one entity should target the other when it stopped moving that u would have perfect timed doors.
So my question is can a moving brush 1 target moving brush 2 and activate moving brush 2 only when moving brush 1 stops moving?

Well...
THX for any help!!:D

basic tutorials at seriously guy!

For terrain you might be talking about vertex mode. I think you hit the v key to drag the points around. The is a tutorial by LSD I believe that does exactly this.

Yes to question 2. There is a field in the marker for marker event. Set that to trigger brush 2.

Terrain... In the CSG toolbar next to the sphere, there is a button that looks like terrain. Click this and you have your terrain options. These options allow you to mess with different settings, normal ones like the dimensions, but also amplitude and slices. To make a terrain by hand, simply add your terrain to your level and press '.' (period) to enter vertex mode, where you can select the verticies and move them with ctrl + LMB drag. Or, you can import a grayscale TGA to make your terrain. Just make sure the grayscale TGA is square and is a power of 2 (2, 4, 8, 16, 32...256,512,1024, ect.) for its size. To make the TGA the base, make your terrain grayscale in a wonderful program like Terragen (enter a search on this forum and you should be able to find it). The lighter the area on the grayscale, the higher the terrain will be in that place.

With slices, the higher the number you enter, the higher the polygon count will be, so dont go too high with them. Amplitude is used when you use a TGA to make your terrain, and it toggles the hieght of the terrain. Play with it some, and you'll see what I mean.

That is only making a terrain, there is also a thing called a topmap, which I'm sure you can find in a search of these forums.

Good luck.
