ohhh, shit, this game is soo cool.
I am having a hard time getting past that point in oasis where your in a room, you get the super pack and then Sam says "Ok, who wants some" and then about 200+ of those little criters come at ya, I last about 20seconds and take out about 100.
Anyone have some best approaches to taking those dudes out?

If you strafe while you kill them, you won't have a problem. That's the only way of defeating most of the enemies that either fire in a straight line or have to physically attack you because they have no weapons. Also use the shotgun, they're gonna be REAL close, so make your shells pay.

After grabbing the backpack, I rocketjumped up to the ledge on either side of the room... The frogs can then be picked off rather easily. Just don't fall off... I did once and got swarmed before I could even move! lol

That one took me several tries. I was also using the shotgun for my first attempt, wanting to save my precious tommygun rounds. After dying a few times, I decided it just wasn't going to work, so I whipped out the tommygun and started blasting away, basically strafe-running backwards in a circle around the room mowing them down. And wouldn't you know it, when you start running low on bullets, they spawn a whole bunch of them in the middle of the room. :biggrin: Just keep circling and shooting until they're all dead. Thats exactly what I did, and revert back to an older quick save, I was orignally tyring it to start with only 24 health, I went back in the 84 plus the red backpack and I was good to go.
Rocketjump? How did you do that? Did you just shoot a rocket into the round and take damage but it pops you into the air????
I love this game, now Im trying to find that switch in the sewers, uggghhhhh.

Yup! *Took me a bunch of tries to do it and using the third person view was easier than the normal view. *I've been rocketjumping in Quake for years but I didn't think to do it in Sam 'til my friend mentioned it.
It was quite funny launching grenades down and having so many frogs explode at once that the green blood splashes up over the ledge. *lol

If you really want to know..........
The switch you're looking for is on the side of the obilisk in the center of the pool.
Just dive into the muddy water. Switch lies near the BIG fish.

Switch in the sewers is below water, about half way down
on the center post. It's the standard rectangular button
type. Watch out for the BIG THEETH fish!

Rocket jumping, did these guys not implement almost everything,LOL? I did it my first try. I think out of sheer terror. I'll be afraid to go back though after increasing the difficulty above normal.

Ya, thats the same setting Im at, Normal. The last level I did had 52 secrets, I only got 17. Yikes. Im going to have to play again at Serious level and find all the secrets.
I feel like opening up the level editor to find out where all the secrets are. But that would be lame.
