this is my thread...I started it....and its my little corner of the world I can call my own....I come here when I need to escape the daily turmoil of life....nobody else can post here, its for me only...and no one else is supposed to be reading this....so if you're reading this and you're not me - then begone with you!...

so anybody want to know what i did today?....i hung the blinds up at my new place...got my satelitte dish installed and pointed....and i thru out about 12 old pc cases, 1 old OLD laser printer, and old canon bubblejet, about 10 power supplies, 5 or 6 old 56k modems, a Boca phone line network kit, about 50 lbs of assorted cables-panels-screws, an old SB 16 ISA, a whole shit load of old cd's, and piles of other stuff....

that's about it...*sigh*....

p.s....and yes, its homophobia...I have a definite fear of homosexuals and homosexual contact....*shudder*....

You might want to share the coffee making responsibility with me. About the only thing I can do and do well is make coffee. Now I do tend to make it a little on the strong side so you'll probably need a pitcher of water on the side to water it down a bit.

no, not iced coffee....but I do like Tim Hortons Iced Cappicino (a little pricey though, but OH SO GOOD!)....

I like my coffee a little strong krobnick...but its gotta be smooth and have a nice aroma....and no milk, just cream or half & half.....that's whats wrong with a lot of peoples coffee, they use milk....sugar or sweetener I can do without, but I do prefer Sugar Twin if I had a choice....

therefore, there will be half & half in the fridge and sugar twin in the cupboard....and we always keep the drip coffee maker spotless....and Maxwell House is my brand of coffee....either that or Presidents Choice Gold Cup...they're the only decent ones out there that I can find....Folgers isn't bad, but a little bitter usually, although nothing a little dash of salt can't handle....I don't mind those grind-your-own blends in the grocery store (the smell of the aisle gets to me everytime :))...and running the machine is a blast! (hmmm, small minds - right?).....

yeah, I know...I've thought that quite a bit....I had all the albums but I sold them at a yard sale years ago...I know, I know, everybody tells me "man, they must have been worth some money"...not really, I had them since I was a kid, and I wasn't that concerned with quality-control at the time ;) ...but also in the box was my 45 of Badfingers "Baby Blue" on the Apple label...I forgot it was in the box...*sniff sniff*...now that one, in it's original mint condition cardboard cover was worth some bucks....the dude who bought the whole box must have thought "SUCKER" when he got home and found it....

I got most of the CD's now....strangely enough, I got a couple of the anthology CD's, but I don't think I ever opened them....go figure....

hmmmmm, I got 2 offers on my house today....the first offer was for MORE than my listing price....(they knew I had a second offer so they upped it)....but it was all tied down in conditions, that it would be a month before anything was finalized....and even during that month they could back out.....so me being the impatient asshole that I am-----

I put that offer aside and concentrated on the decent offer of a Feb 15th closing date (woohoo).....and a cash deal....no conditions, except a house inspection - so that's no big deal....unless the inspector finds asbestos in the attic or something....

I told my real estate agent one of my favourite Homer Simpson quotes when she told me she was coming over with the offers....."I have 2 questions...How Much?...and give it to me".........(and she got it too!...she watches The Simpsond....which surprised the hell out of me)....."

I just want it off my mind.....

well the people were here again today....my real estate agent is supposed to call me sometime in the next half hour.....

1-box Duncan Hines chocolate cake mix butter recipe
3-eggs
1-16oz container sour cream
1-3.04oz box Jell-O cook & serve chocolate pudding
½ cup butter melted

2-cans Duncan Hines cream cheese frosting

Pre-heat oven to 325deg.
Put first five ingredients into large bowl, mix till smooth(it will be thick)
Stir in by hand chocolate chips
Lightly oil bunt pan, sprinkle flour over oil covered pan to prevent sticking
Pour mix into pan, bounce on counter to remove air bubbles
Bake for 55min or until stick inserted come out clean(shouldn’t take more than 60min)
Let cool in pan for 30min before trying to remove to platter
Apply approximately 1.5cans frosting, eat remaining frosting :P

This cake is very rich and moist, can be difficult to slice thinly, but who wants thin slices:D

what we have here. It's the most requested desert that I make.

I did do one thing a little different. To me a little chocolate goes a long way so I only used 1 pkg of chocolate chips.

ummmm, well kind of a smaller version of K-mart....Giant Tiger (http://www.gianttiger.ca) is a franchise that's just in south-eastern Ontario as far as I know....(K-mart got bought out in Canada by Zellers, which is probably my favourite department store)....I hate the local Wal-mart, it's crammed too full....I can barely get my cart down the aisle half of the time....

Sarge, the more you use the iron skillet (if you got one) the better it cooks. One clue, don't wash or scrub it. Just wipe it out while it is still warm, then store it in your oven. On the Beatles, MMT is my favorite with the White Album next. Another unappreciated one is frrom after the break-up, George Harrison's All Things Must Pass. I still get out that LP and play it occasionally.

hey, I have a few pix of my new place....who was it that worked on (or owned) a free pix hosting site?....I could upload them here at this site but it only gives a link to the image....I was hoping to include the images right on this page along with some text....

if you want to post a pic on this page that you uploaded with the file attach option when posting.... attach the pic as you normally would, once you have submitted the post, click on the link and open up the pic, copy the url and go back to your post, now edit your post and stick the url in some img tags and heypresto you beat the system :D

Strossos, this may be a day late but here it is:
4-5 apples (2.5 lbs.) sliced and peeled, 1t.cinnamon,
1/2 cup sugar , 2T.lemon juice,
2T. flour , unbaked pie shell,
1t.nutmeg,
Place apples in lg. bowl. Combine sugar, flour, nutmeg and cinnamon, sprinkle over apples. Toss to coat well. Put into pie shell and drizzel with lemon juice.Sprinkle topping over apples. Slide pie into large brown paper bag. Fold end and staple shut. Place on cookie sheet. Bake at 400F for 1 hour. Split bag open; remove to cool.
Topping Recipe:
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 c. flour
1/2 c. butter
Combine sugar and flour. Cut in butter and sprinkle enenly over apples.
Very firm golden delicous are the best for a sweet pie, but I sometimes like the "whang" of Granny Smith apples. I hope you and your Dad like this. BTW, I just turned 50 myself.:bawling:

behind the bookshelves is my computer....I had to throw a blanket over the couch because there is a couple wicked tears in the upholstery....I wonder which one of you goons did that?...(the room is actually quite big...bigger than it looks here)...

that big wide open area between me and the other apartment buildings is a school playground...there's a couple ball diamonds and a soccer pitch there somewhere....

1) Kick myself in the ass for ever thinking that I could do without a dishwasher

5) Purchase oven mitts
6) Play Elevator Operator for an afternoon
