illeagle GSC operation(target must not be selected)

is the error that I get when I try to group my big statue I made for my upcoming lvl
it has 4 HUGE columns and a big light at the end of them, looks cooler then sounds, why am I getting this error anyone?

For the reason it says. You shouldn't have the layer you went to merge your brushes to selected, ie, highlighted blue. Just have it as the active named in the pull-down box, don't select it.

Right click on the brush you would like to add the statue TOO, this will be your target brush so to speak.

After right clicking the brush a context sensitive window appears from which you can choose -> select active brush.

Now you can highlight your statue (click on it) and add it to the previously selected active brush using the add to world base button.
