Let me be the first to say that it looks extremely sexy. I like Kronor styled maps.

    Argh, too much spoilers!!!

All I can say is : nice. Everything, including the environment, is made up of only CT's model, therefore they look so neat! I can't make an evironment with only CT's models, that's "Mission Impossible" .

But, like Morkze, I will wait for the final release.

EDIT : Or should I? The link just kept me drooling...

    I can't get it.
It keeps saying "Please wait while the download server is contacted", but it never does anything else

Also, those shots look nice. Dammit why can't I make anything in SED2?

Nope. I made three terrains and all interior areas myself- see the Psychoterrain.tex files in the .gro!

Don't worry, the map is not at alpha-stage...I'd rather consider it a beta. It's almost done, and I doubt I'll be adding any more areas to it.

Glad you all liked it. But before you download, be sure to grab the SDK examples pack here:
    http://files.seriouszone.com/download.php?fileid=1097

You can't play the map propely without it.

    *Lightning-fast bump*

I know you all hate it, but....
    It's now on Rapidshare.

    http://rapidshare.de/files/30697913/Mountain.gro

Edit- small bit of backstory, you can check it via netricsa by pressing Tab in-game:

Ah, yes...the ol' good mountainy region of Kronor. A few days ago we received a help signal from a factory nearby. Apparently Mental's troops had decided to take over the factory and lay waste to it's Alliance workers. The factory is now under Mental's command and he will no doubt use it for his own advantage. We've got to kill those bastards and shut down the factory, Sam...fortunately I have already found the power source of the factory. It's far away from the factory itself, but lucky for us, there should be some teleporting equipment left near the building...if we could teleport ourselves near that power source and cut off the power, the factory could be shut down. That should please even those Sirian monkeys, ehh? Well, for now, you should try heading to the south, towards the factory. The teleporting equipment can be found from the yards at the right side of the factory, if I remember right...

Great I'm gonna try this map out......looking at the installation, could you maybe next time you use custom stuff rename it? Because a custom enemy behaviour file you made had overwritten the old one and I don't know if that'll effect anything

It will affect them. F1NLAND-Warrior, if you want to have a custom behaviour, you can save it to a different filename so it wouldn't replace the original file.

But I didn't create any custom behaviour. Or at least I didn't save it. I'm sure that it isn't used by any enemies/NPCs in the map.

Or, wait...hmm. Yes, I did *try* to create custom behaviour (to prevent enemies from moving), but I couldn't understand how to do it, so I just cancelled the whole operation. Maybe the editor saved the behaviour file afterall? (It'd be nice to have a "Do you want to save this behaviour?" pop-up in case that happens, you know! )

Anyway, I'd be glad if someone could test the map by deleting the behaviour file and seeing if it works after that. The behaviour file should not be needed.

Umm...lets see...I can't access it in the game so I have to test it in the editor where the difficulty is unknown (probably hard) and I couldn't get near the Uzis because of the kleers and bonesnakes that were already spawned so I died.

2 lives left. I now have the rocket launcher. T-mech keeps spawning in the same place after I destroy the one before it meaning I don't know there's one there while I fight off spiders, kamikazes, clowns and small orc footballers. Died

1 life left: Started again because there's no markers. Went the other way from where the rocket launcher is. Enemies get too close and I blow myself up.
    ....

I could probably finish and rate it if I could play it on an easier difficulty but I can't play it ingame as I said earlier

I liked the way the T-mech smashed down the trees though

So it doesn't work without the custom behaviour file DAMN!

Any ideas how I could remove this behaviour without having it affect the whole file?

EDIT- Yeah I forgot to put the markers, but they'll be in the full version. I just don't like the lives system at all. Sigh...well, I guess I have to put them in. But for now, just quicksave/load in case you get to trouble The recommended difficulty setting is easy (although experienced players who have played SS2 at Serious may try it on Normal/Hard). I thought myself that the map was too easy, I even had like 200/200 health and armor at the end of the map and I never got hurt.

Just use the normal Orc behaviour or rename it and submit it again
This is what I did when I added stuff to the baby spidermech to make it have a seat and made some new vehicle params

But I don't know which one of those enemies uses the damn behaviour because the editor gave me no pop-ups, warnings or anything.

Edit- Fixin', new DL links up soon. After that I'll continue working to make the final version and then update the file again.

Fixed, the behaviour should no longer affect anything. New links:

    Filefront
    http://files.filefront.com/Mountaing.../fileinfo.html
    Rapidshare
    http://rapidshare.de/files/30717142/Mountain.gro

Delete the old Mountain.gro if you're installing the new one- this ensures that no custom behaviour will overwrite anything.

    Edit- Wanna think with portals? In Garry's Mod? Here's a linky to a fantastic portal mod I found;

I guess anything is possible in Garry's Mod...

Now, maybe I could make a comic of this idea...

Why don't you make some HL2 comics then? I'd love to see what yo can come up with.......speaking of which, I havn't made any recent comics for a while and I have at least 3 comics worth of screenshots to use

Firstly, I'd need a good and free program for editing images...you can't make comics with Paint ehh?

Edit- Anyways, here's some random poses I've taken while playing around:

    *Quick bump again*

The map has been updated. This Pre-Release Version, or whatever you want to call it, includes Coop support plus has chapters to satisfy those players who use the lives system.

    Download:
    http://rapidshare.de/files/30802154/...in_Madness.gro
(Filefront doesn't work for me now)

If you don't mind *not* having invisible walls to prevent you from doing anything stupid, then download!

    New in this update:
-Big framerate improvements (Now runs smoothly at 60-80 FPS when no enemies are nearby; at battles it runs at 28-50 FPS on my computer---thanks to finalizing!)
    -Coop support
    -Chapters (Respawning is possible)

    Things To Do:
-Add barriers. Nothing else, so it's really almost finished!

Oh yeah and the enemy count is 670. Pretty much for a 20min map...however there are lots of big battles, especially in the end.

Nice, but... I will still wait for the final release.

That's because I want the barriers to be completed as well .

In the end, I can't resist it and download the map immediately.

First, the GRO file is packed wrongly. This is the reason why Deepblue can't access it in the game. So I repacked and play it.

The level is very nice! Except that there are some holes in it...

Packed wrongly? Well that might be because I had to manually delete/add some files in order to prevent them from overwriting the existing things...could you upload the fixed file somewhere?

Edit- And give me a link, of course

You had it packed wrongly because it's on CroTeam\SeriousSam2\Content while mine is SeriousSam2\Content (Don't ask why I dunno why either)

Must be because SS2's default install directory is Program Files/Serious Sam 2. I installed it on Croteam directory because that's where I installed SE. I prefer to keep all games made by CT in the same directory.

And, to prevent this from becoming SS2 only....

It's a cheap game these days. You can get the full version and all expansions in the same pack only for about 10-15 €...at least here in Finland. (Called Neverwinter Nights: Diamond Edition). You'll also get some premium modules with it.

Neverwinter Nights 2 is coming in October...so I have to release this module quick, or there will be no one playing the original NWN anymore...

I haven't played Neverwinter Nights, but I'm going to buy Neverwinter Nights 2 when it's out, because i'm so excited of screenshots and trailer
