This is the original kamikaze scream used in SSA. I also have one of the pain sounds.

These actual sounds aren't from the game itself. I simply got it from the internet (The pain sound I got from a GE64 sound pack)

Wait, what? The start of the sound at 0:17 sounds like the Kamikaze scream. An early interview with Croteam said that it was Roman who did the Kamikaze voice.

Advance ' s scream isn't Roman's at all..

I was talking about TFE and TSE, yes. Some interview said it was Roman who voiced the Kamikaze there, but the start of the sound at 0:17 sounds exactly like the Kami scream to me. I'm curious if anyone else hears it.

I agree it sounds like kamikaze.

But there is possibility that they are just similiar

Actually, the scream at 0:10 is a star wars sound effect (the TIE-Fighters I believe?), only distorted. I don't remember where I read it, but since this video consists solely of stock sound effects, It's not a huge surprise to find it here.

Also, just to clear up any confusion about the kamikaze sound, I'm not referring to 0:17. I'm referring to 0:05. They're near identical:

I found out that the music in the game is one long PCM sample, instead of being made up of instruments.

That's interesting, I've never played Serious Sam: Advance. You are absolutely right about it being the same sound, albeit with some effects applied.

And about the Star Wars sound, yeah that makes sense. Most sounds you hear in games and television come from audio libraries the people making games and films/series pay for, and they're free to use and edit it as they please. If you have a good ear you'll find the same sounds in different media titles.

Then there's also royalty free sounds like the Wilhelm Scream that anyone can use which you'll hear everywhere.

I also have several other pain sound effects (Which I got from Goldeneye), so I might share those. I actually extracted a bunch of SSA sounds for comparison so they were higher quality.

Should be the Time Strike, but related to time it doesn't do any of it. I wanted to make it similar like HL2's EMP Tool. Thanks again Trig.




Thinking of a name for it which ends with strike. How would you call it?
