That is actually true for my Nile levels as well, explained with deadly fishes by NETRICSA, because damn if swimming in that river wouldn't break the levels completely.

o see, seems that croteam cut a big code part to list such huge map in one piece with sawing i think that the nile level was a engine sort of test also is there a way how to get the lotb maps in classic tfe, i will need them for the remake because they were the actual first 3 levels from the beta

Just do the same that I'll be doing - look at them and recreate them in Serious Editor by hand. You'll have to change the enemy scripting anyway. It doesn't matter if the proportions are a little bit off, no one is going to complain. And no, there is no such thing as a SE3->SE1 level converter.

now like all stuff is made or is still in progres knno is now working on all arachnoid textures, we found something like a part from the elder texture used in tse for the yellow, we have pictures, now there are only 3 actual things that we don't know how to make, just zocky does

1. the ghost buster
2.pipe bomb (not an actual model, just a liddle edit on it)
3.flamer (just a very, very easy model fix)

that's all


EDIT: because stuff we made from already found content isn't perfect in model, so a modeler hand needs to fix those 2 things and make the ghostbuster also things that are coming those days we now hove a big part of the big karnak, few other maps, many textures, tomorow we will get the 2 arachnoid textures, young and oldest, for few weeks the ghostbuster, then our project is FINISHED ( the maper is great and fast he is doing maps rapidly)

If the mapper is so fast and awesome and making ten maps every day and your texture artist works at 3 textures per minute, why don't we get some preview screenshots? It would certainly prove you're not just ****ing with us, because that's how we're feeling if you're not showing us anything unseen.

do you know the word PORT i don't want to port that all, no problem if they accept i can show you prewiew pic's because my ss tfe was solt in a computer crash 1 montha ago, thankfully i gave one of my members all beta files so they werent gone, now i have just test 1 test 2 and my remake ... ss tse, ss hd tse, ss3 bfe, ss f, ss 2


EDIT: 10 maps per day? doesn't that sound unrealistic to you?

i don't know what's with the porting levels i tried to port one but it there is "cannot load level because it was made in a newer engine"

That means you can't do it. The Serious Engine has locks to prevent you from using content made in a newer version of an engine for compatibility reasons. Unless you find an editor that works with Test 1 (very unlikely), then you're screwed.

oh crappp!! then how can i make the beta remake?? i will need to maybe edit the dll file, i don't know how to make mods for actual fe, and port models and textures like biomechanoid & mingun, piramyd tex, doot tex...

That is because it was made in a newer engine. Obviously it won't work in an older build of the game if it was made with a newer. I wondered when this will pop up. This is an error some of us testers are well experienced with (one reason Finzy can't release his maps yet). There is no solution.

Use the SDK to make the alterations you want. It gives you much more power than Test 1 ever would. Plus, it has the code for the unused enemies and weapons, so you can adjust them however you want.

The models aren't a problem. Simply extract the model, then put it into your TFE folder under "Serious Sam/Models/". From there, open them up in Serious Modeller and fix their attachments.

well ill try anithing that i can to fix that "bug" for me that's an error, bug. also how to make mod's for tfe ... never mind i don't know how to port the biomechanoid major beta model, because the game crashes then, or find a test 1 map editing way, or make ss fe editor compatible... :000

see, i need a help in that... i don't understand how to simply make a mod of that and i don't have expirience in modeler, ill ask oben ) he is the only one who didn't do anything much important for now

That's not a bug. It's on purpose to prevent incompatibility errors. Other engines have this as well, such as the Source Engine.

Because I'm feeling nice, here are all of the Test 1 models and textures. Put these files into your Serious Sam FE folder.

those are the already fixed? by fe folder, you mean the fe gro file and puting models to models and textures to textures ?

They aren't fixed.

DO NOT PUT THEM IN THE .GRO FILE. Those files should never, ever be tampered with. Instead, put them in your base Serious Sam folder. For example, if you have FE in C:\Croteam\Serious Sam, put it there.

You couldn't find it because he's hidden it in the artwork section, which I believe is about 2d art and textures. And yeah, it's pretty epic watching this unfold Look at the last 3 or 4 pages of this thread since it all started there.
