You could do that, or a mix of multipul passages and dead ends.

A defination of maze? Many paths, many choices at every turn, dead-ends, loopbacks, traps, enemy attacks, etc.

Complexity is worth 30% of the final score, so think along thoes lines. How many twists and turns, how many options, etc etc.

Think anti-linear. Linear would be a classic example of most single player maps for most games. Only one way to go, only one choice, only one solution. A Maze has many choices at every turn, many right and many wrong. Remember thoes find-a-way-through mazes you do with pencil and paper? Take that, make a maze like that in 3d, and change it. Try to CONFUSE the players sense of direction, yet at the same time promote them with more and more options Your using a 3-D environment, not only that you have gravity, portals, and moving objects at your hand. Insted of forward, back, left, or right; you have forward, back, left, right, up, down, portals #1, #2, #3, #4, switches thats rotate corridor 5 to a different section or change portal #3 to a different destination. Have fun

I have a problem. When flaging a polygon as transparant the polygons beyond it dissapear. This is really hindering my progress. Here is a pic.

I have to pull out. My SS installation has become screwed up and stuff. I was so close too. This means that my DM map was also deleted.

What I was trying to do took ages to make. I can't do it again. I'll try and put all the stuff I made into a sp map.

My map is coming along rather nicely, about 2/3 the way done with geometry and lighting.

But with Final Fantasy XI, don't know if I'll get it done.
