Default Bezier Tutorial - Read! Read! Read!

so - here´s a short tut for all of you who absolutely DO NOT understand the new feature
(crapped together in 5 mins)

Short tut: How to create a bezier.
1.
Open SEd, create a new level.
2.
Drag some markers inside, move them in positions that represent the abstract model of the bezier (See Pic).
3.
Click the markers and read their coordinates (one by one).
4.
Write in their coordinates.
The used ones:
left box - all marker coordinates, order: see pic
-10 5 1
-9 5 1
-8 5 1
-10 3 2
-9 3 2
-8 3 2
-10 1 2
-9 1 2
-8 1 2

right box - thicken the patch for fig. two
0 2 0

normal triangularization, closing method: thicken
(with 'close' set, the bezier will be closed at the position of the right box)

5.
set a valid output in the serious dir and press calculate
(pic: 'H:\Serious2\Levels\LevelsMP\S\s.raw')
6.
in sed, click on FILE>insert 3d obejct
7.
set file type to *.*
8.
search your file and double-click it.
-join all possible polys!!
9.
set off anchored and zoned on the new worldbase flags
10.
to make it look like in the pic, add a room to the new worldbase, join its sectors, copy the stuff, then insert and rotate it in position

you can now try moving marker 2 and marker 3 to marker 1´s position, copy the coords, calc and then and import it

doesn't work! I'm still getting this error message although I'm sure that I've done everything exactly like your tut.

Das Problem war, dass das prog auf dem deutschen windows kommas statt punkte in die raw files gesetzt hat.
1.3 kommt blad..

You have to set your windows to english, because there is an error with dots and commas in the raw file if your language uses commas instead of points for numbers.

asd, you have done the points from the wrong way across (left to right or whatever)
if you reverse the 1st and the 3rd from every level you should be good

after fiddling around with the X vectors a bit, I got this! Woohoo!

You know what would be good? is if you could open old bezier patches...that would be nice

You can copy the bezier coordinates into the memo - that is saved everytime you close the prog.
And:
making rooms non solid and vice versa: select all polys, press D.

What about a bezier prefab? ne1 thought about that? It could make it easier for some people.

it's just as easy to prefab a bezier, but why do that when you can just distribute the .raw file? and i don't think you can prefab a sector of a game without painfully copying each object to a differnt world.
