Anyway, they are not bad at all! I started the same way just as you did now. The idea of a Veteran is actually an interesting one. Not as an enemy that shoot rockets, but as a beheaded that is stronger. Hmm, you just gave me an idea!

When I saw your tutorial. You did a cool brown biomechanoid with Larva spiders. I liked it, and I see now a beheaded. It really looks cool! I can't wait your enemies in any maps.

The Dark Side of the Moon!

Anybody here have seen Iron Sky movie? Well, for those who haven't seen it yet - it's basicly a movie about Nazis from the Moon which are trying to take over the world (again).

That movie was really great if you ask me, so I came up with decision that I'll try to make Serious Sam 3 mod which will be based on that movie. Of course not everything will be the same (for example - plot is gonna be slightly changed), but the whole idea is simple - Nazis from the Moon are comming to take over the Earth. Sam must defend it! The whole mod is (for now) called Under The Iron Sky (sound similar, isn't it?)


Here is the first screenshot, showing some Moon Nazi Soldiers:

Since I don't have any skills in modeling or any kind of art, that's just Canned Cain model which has been retextured. NPCs are based on Mischievous NPCs Pack, really big thanks to him for leting me using his work to make mine better! You can compare these soldiers with these from the movie:

What's next? I guess I'll try to somehow convert Sirian Spaceship model to SS3, and make some UFOs.

The Nazi Germany was technologically so superior compared to others I think if it didn't fall this is how WW3 would have been in 2012

It would be a better movie if it were more serious, the comments of that lady in red in the trailer are so out of place...

The red ribbon should be above the elbow, can you move it up ?

It's a satire, and trust me - they are really in place, because of the world showed in that movie (some sad truth and that stuff).

Tried that, and it's sadly pretty hard because of that funny transparent texture. I musted just hook it up somewhere it looks nice. That's the best place.

To tell you the truth this movie would fit better as a game, a futuristic WW2. It would be like a FPS Metal Slug game. Just look at that "UFO", it's the same style like in Metal Slug games.

To be honest, it would fit as a Red Alert 2 mod. The movie is almost the same, just with Nazis instead of Soviets. Not to mention, the actor who played Yuri in RA2 is in the movie as well.

Never played these ones... Still, I like the movie, I like the game, and I think that something (sorta) cool can happen from that idea.

Those moon nazis actually look pretty cool, I like the recoloring and the Canned Cain model fits well.

Btw, it'd be more awesome if that mod was actually set on some moon base instead of Earth. Not that much trouble to create I think since SS3 already looks so desolate and gray by default...just give Sam a jetpack and have him fly around the moon.

I was planning moon missions, but the plot there is going mad with my ideas.

So I am considering it, but not now. I am planning to make a second (encounter) epizode on the moon.

Hello there! I've been working again on maps for a while, and I am at the point of making basic gameplay part, as the details and such are almost completed. It's looking pretty good, but I guess I could do better. And yes, I know that it looks almost the same as the boss area in town, but honestly - with my editor skills something REALLY from scratch would look REALLY bad. The next level will be more original in geometry, I promise!

Of course, while talking about the gameplay part, we are talking about things like enemies, and their inteligence... And here comes small but! I made some sort of Nazi-Patrols on the first map, which will walk around, looking for the player. Well, at least they should do that...

What are they are doing for now? They are seeing the player, even if he is in the other side of the map! What now? No problem! Let's set their state to "blind". Now, they ignore me, even if I'm shooting really close to them. I am looking for a solution for fixing that problem, but if I won't find it, I guess that our nazis are gonna be or really sensitive, or really blind!

Of course. ^^
First, I'm working on more types of soldiers. For now - there are three types of these; one with pistol, one with rifle, and one with rocket launcher. What is bad is that it is much hit-scanning. I want to make some more types that will make you able to dodge their projectiles.
Also, for the spaceship - there isn't gonna be only one spaceship. ^^ For now - I have considered four types: one which shoots with normal ammuniton, like KMs, or rifles, another one is gonna shoot you with rockets, and third (strongest) lasers and other funny stuff.
I also tried to make some sort of basic maschines that would walk. Some sort of biomechanoids (except that these are gonna be real maschines, not walking meat ^^).
