Things are proceeding quite nicely, or would have had, had I taken the easy path, which unfortunately adding custom animations to the tail is not.
So here's a crazy idea, create a complete replica of CT's player skeleton and then add new bones to it. In theory that would work, as SE3's animations are also modular.

Well duh, sam's walking animation.

But now I have a better idea, one that doesn't include Microsoft and his stupid paint. But it did help. Now I will simply copy all the bone position data 1 by 1 and hope for the best.

also my other thread on slightly improving the graphics is going on pretty well too.

Added some custom textures to the tail to make it blend and seem more fluffy

Although SE3 is giving me a hard time with that too, because player models seem to have a thing for transparent textures too. They seem to become opaque the very instant something hits the model. But moving the tail as an addon seems to fix that, although permanently prevents me from animating it. I'm still weighting animations to the fluffy textures, fluffy textures seem to be in the lead because they work.

And also my edge glow effect seems to be quite the addition.

Oddly there's nothing wrong with it and it works quite well.

So far so good, also when I complete this, I'll port her for SS3 as well

Well trying to add custom animations was a complete bad time waster idea that obviously one of you guys had But on the bright side, I have a exact replica of CT's player skeleton in blender, so it wasn't a complete loss.
Also I fixed the transparency issue, and managed to collect a complete player sound scheme for her, by ripping sounds from the original game, and retuneing some sounds from SS's female voice scheme.

Those team colours look a little subtle compared to the colour of the model in its entirety. I mean Im sure itd be easy to distinguish but I see it being a problem considering the Blue fur.

Crystal looks great! I like that you create team variation textures

So when you create skeleton in Blender and export it in SEd3 and use Sam's animations you get those wired stuff? Can you send model sources so i can see maybe I can fix it for new version of add-on for SEd3.5.

Actually his legs seem to have switched places xD And I'm sure I got all the weight maps right.

Pan, I had that same thought too, but red fur didn't look good at all. I decided to go with a really bright red for everything else and see how it will work, since I haven't tested this in an actual game. But I may try t add some slight red tint or something.

Looks better. The gaping-jaw thing was sorta weirding me out, before.

Fur tint is also an improvement on the red side.

Are you adding it as a child of the player model? If you are, you can use the "Animated by Parent" flag, which makes the child play its own animations of the same name as the parent's, if it has any.

So, if the player model plays the anim Idle, the child will try to play it's animation with the same scheme name ? How did I miss that all this time This requires a whole new line of development !
And to think that I was going to release this tomorrow heh, I will still, but will so totally make an update by next weekend.
Thanks for pointing that feature out Viper

Edit: Hmm, I dunno, I made the tail have the exact same animation scheme names as the player model, but when the player model enters those animations the tail doesn't get animated. Are you sure that's how it works ? I checked the Tommy gun to see if it will shed some light on how to set it up, but it only confused me more, the muzzle flash there has no animations of it's own, and yet it's set to be animated by parent...

She's a character from Star Fox Adventures. And with that the amassing tale you probably expected is over But for some reason I like her enough to go and port her to ss hd and ss 3

Yes you need the modable version, though I don't get that, since it's a player model for MP, and there are no MP servers on the modable version defeating the whole purpose of custom player models. Yea sure I get that "we have to prevent cheaters from the precious LeaderBoards" deal, but it's a player model. Not that you can't screw up the game good with those too, but at least models that use the standard Player mechanism should have been allowed in the non modable version.

This is the first one I'm doing for my planned Survival 6 pack, it's a desert Sirian temple theme map with a canyon maze surroundings, that hide weapons like the Cannon, Laser, Minigun and the Devastator. The center will be the most easy part to defend as it has only 4 entrances in the beginning. Later enemies get more access points by breaking though walls and suck. Will first start with simple enemies , and develop fast to khulums

It's become ridiculously easy to do good looking maps in SEE 3.5 , but oh well. Like I said on my Serious Engine 3.5 review, that I'm still waiting for LD to approve, "If that's easy, imagine when it's not so easy". I'm just aiming to release some quickie scetch survival maps, before I get seriously serious

Still, I care only about playability. You won't bother with lightshafts one minute after round begins - but if it's boring, you won't be returning to map for weeks.
