Question Customized game.

Hi,

I've noticed something strange while looking leaderboards of the campaign :

http://img440.imageshack.us/img440/822/2011121700002r.jpg

This guy played this level in Serious difficulty, and killed all ennemies, and got all secrets.
His multiplier is x66. (Same for the Museum level, and others too I think.)

If we play a level in Serious difficulty, without customize the game, the standard multiplier is x51.

Or, if he got all secrets, it means that he didn't disabled Life items, and Armor items, because if we disable them, secrets which are bound to Life items and Armor items are desactivated too.
So it is 100% sure that he didn't disabled Life items and Armor items, or he wouldn't have 9/9 to his secrets. So in his case, these bonuses should be present.

Consequently, his mutliplier should still be x51.

Then, we can suppose that he disabled Bonus items (useless thing), so he gained +5 in multiplier. Current multiplier : x56.

The last thing he can do now is enabling Extra force for ennemies. (+1 to the multiplier by Extra force added).
Extra force is divided into : +25%, +50%, +75%, +100%, +150%, +200%, +300% and finally, +400%.
So, if he is totally crazy and enables +400% enemy force he will obtain +8 for his multiplier.
He would reach a multiplier equal to x64. But this guy has a x66 multiplier... It's impossible.

In conclusion, I don't understand how he has a x66 multiplier where the max (In his situation, with secrets enabled) is a multiplier of x64.

Did I missed something ? Or ... ?

Eclipse.

That is DK. He's on this forum, you can ask him. That's all I'm gonna say.

You may notice that some players have some odd scores. That's not because of hacking, but some long-time contributing members have been asked by Croteam to test the game before release and help find bugs. Things changed between then and release, so they may have odd monster counts or even score multipliers in some levels.

Humm... Ok.
By the way, I've still haven't understand the thing about Saves. Here we can do so many saves, and even if we have more Saves than the Saves counter, it changes nothing. How does it work, in fact ?

I tested on Summer in Cairo, and apparently it seems like that for every save which goes over the limit, a 10,000 points is subtracted from your final score (after multiplier).

10k on the final score ... ? Lol ok so it's almost useless. Now Pro savers can save as hell with a 'little' penality

Too bad you don't get points for staying UNDER the limit. Imagine the score when playing without autosaving and quicksaving only once or twice.

Yeah, that would be excellent.
In SS3, you can be happy to finish a level in one run without saving, in +100% enemy force... Then the noob come with his 50 saves and do it in 400%... Even if he got -50k to his final score, he will kick you badly. It's a shame :/

This is why I think Classic Coop is the only way to go when it comes down to comepetetive leaderboard gaming. That's the only mode which penalizes you for respawning (-10k i think) also you can't save/load like in single player. Standard and Coin-op coop give allow you to die and respawn without any effect on your score, and also you start with more lives.

That's me, and like Discy said, things changed after I got that score. One of the multipliers that used to be in the Customization menu was removed.
