Yeah its still in progress, a lot of rl stuff at the mo so not much progress.

Just started some of the bonus secret areas of part 1. This place is meant to kill and it does. If you hate jumping puzzles and dodging meteors this place is not for you. It is a secret so avoidable if ya don't fancy it. Trying to make it different for each difficulty is making it a pain. I've yet to beat it on hard or serious - 27 deaths and counting in one room!!!! Mind I'm also a wee under par on jumping puzzles.

Also playing with making the spawners move so that the enemies are not always coming from the same place. Makes it more interesting.

And as for quickies!!!!! No bike sheds round here to nip behind or are they too old hat?

Not these days. I only ever got on with texture maker and once development on that ceased. Kinda stopped with it.

Glad to hear this isn't dead yet. Your levels look massive, don't you run into file size problems? I once made a map so big the lighting just sorta disappeared, and splitting it fixed it. A more common bug is that during playtime the direction lighting just messes up and creates dark weird circular patterns. If not I guess this isn't an issue in Revolution.

I'm really happy to hear there will be additional exploration, I'm always for that. And of course the incredible attention to detail to have spawners at different locations.

Nirfan, maybe you could give a try Substance Designer, i think it does some similar things, but is aimed more towards AAA games.....Seems to be getting popular in game dev industry.

Hey Zocky, I have substance designer 4 on steam I think. Never seem to have enough time these days to try something new.

@Dicsy - I've hit that limit many times is about 40Mb before I start getting issues. This was a single map when I started already split it into 5 parts. As far as I'm aware Rev has the same limitations as classic. Largest part sits at about 26M at the moment.

@LD - FIREWORKS!!! Not used that for many years. Always used it for animated gifs.

@Gnaarwarian - A little bit of rhyme do I see, is it all its cracked up to be

Y'know, if I was able to get ahold of your textures again, I would try making something with them.

Dunno what though.
But then that's the fun of it since a lot of the sets appear to be their own thing and not based on anything.

Well I figured it was time to post an update. This will be the last screen shots of part 1 as there are only a few more rooms to show.

Most of these are of secret locations some of which are only reachable in hard and serious difficulties. 36 secrets in total so far - many are linked so to access all the areas of some secrets you have to have unlocked all the parts. Some secrets also feature secrets of their own.

The main secret - the old tomb requires a scroll to be found in an earlier secret before it can be accessed. This secret changes also depending on difficulty. Easy - has one chamber to visit, Normal has two, Hard has three, and serious four.

It may seem like a major spoiler but I'm not saying how to find any of them but will say most main rooms contain at least 2 secrets.

You should add extra secrets that can't actually be accessed just so that Discy will keep seeing that 5 out of 9 secrets found message at the end of the level.

They are secrets not sure I can remember where they are

Discy a secret guide is a good idea I'll have to think on that one.

This is the closest to finished I've ever got to on a level so its looking good to actually leave the forever limbo.

Well it looks like I'm going to have to change the never finished status.

Here is part 1 of Clown Temple as a GRO - it is release one, there will be errors and typos galore. Only releasing on here for the mo and it is Rev only.

Looks like part 2 will have to be split into more than one lev its huge and already getting close to maximum file size before the editor dies and I've not started putting entities in yet....lol
