Considering that that post is almost one year old... yeah, I think Linux players can stop hoping for a final linux release.

And that client was arguably worse than the first beta of ss2, granted they've worked the kinks out now, but when it was released it was terrible. Kinda like the UT3 client... oh wait, nevermind.

And what would be the cause of your searching such old threads?

Lightkey bumped the thread, so I read through it and found the post.

Like monkeys flying out of politician's butts? Chimpanzee's listening to Britney Spears? Justin Timberlake marrying Michael Jackson for the money? Running With Scissors putting out an award winning game? Harrison Ford doing another Indiana Jones movie? A giant all-knowing monolith being found on the moon? What? The suspense is killing me...

Yes clown, I know you're waiting for the full version of the Linux client, but I think you should stop thinking about it. There hasn't been any news on it for 2 years so juat forget about it. Croteam is most likely busy on SS3 and their tactical army game.

To forget about it?
Never! I payed for this game and and still I am waiting for Linux full version.

I found this information

Serious Sam 2 - PRE-RELEASE

Expected 01 Oct 2008 (Unconfirmed Release Date)

http://www.tuxgames.com/details.cgi?&gameref=140

What you think about this?

I like to play in Seriou Sam. I bought all parts of this game and still I believe that Croteam at least will give the relevant information.
I hope from us in this case will not-disappoint.

I just want an explanation as to why someone didn't bother reading the license terms of gamespy when it was chosen for the net interface. It's slightly rude to choose a library that you _can't_ distribute to your paying customers because the license forbids it.

<sarcasm> And just as promising as their release date for Unreal Tournament 3 </sarcasm>

So was it a bad contract with Take 2 that prevents giving us information?
