Default Finzy's Finnish Delights (Lots of Photos + 56k warning)

Gonna post my best recent photos here. Had an old photo showcase way back but I never got around to updating it, so here goes, maybe this time I'll bother.

Soo I spent a week in this nice cabin just a week or so ago, very near my home town so I could drive to work in the mornings:

Due to bad house water I had to wake up at 4 am one night to take a dump, but it was worth it as it got me this beautiful pic of the sunrise.

Pic of some airborne bomber flying overhead (seriously):

Pics from the lake:

Near some Beaver's home (we actually scared one away by rowing past, shame I didn't get a pic of it but it slapped the water pretty angrily with its tail):

Some funky looking flower growing there:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva12.jpg

Thanks to me and my dad's l337 rowboat skills we actually managed to get to the other side of the lake past all the weeds:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva14.jpg

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva15.jpg

...Where there were more weeds:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva17.jpg

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva18.jpg

...Anyhoo weeds weren't the only interesting thing there so back to the lake

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva19.jpg

...Okay I was kidding, we found yet moar weeds:

Nice evening shot from upstairs:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva21.jpg

For some reason I liked this upward shot of the grill:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva22.jpg

And here's an advertising shot I took:

Pics from juhannuskokko fires on the lake (juhannus = midsummer night's festifal):

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva24.jpg

Visible on the other shore:

Later, about as dark as it got that night:

The next day was pretty stormy, which made for some nice "waves" when swimming:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva27.jpg

We also went fishing of course and I naturally got the biggest one as the first price that caught my hook

Scenery shot with the rowboat:

DEM BIRDS smelled the fish:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva31.jpg

Some nice cliff/forest surrounding the shack:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva32.jpg

And just the last evening before our departure, there was this GORGEOUS sunset. Probably one of the most intense ones I've seen in my entire life:

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva33.jpg

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva34.jpg

Skyrim just doesn't do this justice, the water was all burning purple/red when swimming.

http://i1093.photobucket.com/albums/i434/FunkyFinzy/Digikuva36.jpg

That's all for now...

If you want HD resolution versions of some shot to use as a wallpaper or whatever, feel free to request. These were just scaled to 1280x720 from the original res of 4000x2248. And, stay tuned for Lapland pics from 2 years ago, gonna post those later.

Glad you liked em; gotta remember to post those Lapland pics soon. I looked over them briefly before and there are some way better shots than even in this set there.
