Nearly each modeller can save models for SS2, just use the "Export to RAW (.raw)" option.
And in SEd2, import the .raw.

Yes. Insert a static model, press E and then choose "import from raw".
But then, you should select all polygons (numpad+), copy them, delete them, and then paste them again. Otherwise it can be that you can see them in the mesh editor, but not in the world editor. Also you should have all polygons selected and then set "0" in the X Y Z values in order to see your model correctly.

Thanks, oh and by the way, I'm starting a new project called "The War: Part 1", original name I know!! It is basically a mappack taking you through different stages of a war/invasion in different levels. The levels being:

Level 1: Invasion
Level 2: Border Defense (working title)
Level 3: Defense of the airport (another working title)
Level 4: City Square
Level 5: The Last Stand
****** (end of part 1)
These are just random concepts, I will attempt to conjur up some pics ASAP.

I noticed that problem with importing raw models in Sed2...first time i was wondering where model disappeared lol!!!

Does anyone know how to create a gro file in SS2 (with groshop) that contains more than one level. Because in the readme for groshop, i can only find out how to make a gro file with just one level in it.

Well, get the beta version of the newer version of Groshop and you're good to go...weird that it hasn't been updated yet.

Hope it still works. This version can pack multiple levels in the same .gro file and has a normal Windows interface

Ok guys, until someone can find another way of making multi-level .GRO files then I am going to move on, I am making 'The War' for SS: TSE this time and have scrapped the other one, so lets lay down a storyline.
'The War' follows the story of how Serious Sam got his reputation, beacuse as you know, Earth was invaded and overun by Mental's forces and they sent Serious Sam to the past to change the future, so this mappack of around 3-4 levels (I am still deciding) will be seperate levels and each will be a different battle, background, and mission. Also as a secret level you can attempt to fight the battle that Earth lost (the one that made them send Serious Sam back to the past). Just as a bonus!.

EDIT - sorry for the double post, and I am logging off now to do some screenies

Mapman, i think you can pack those two maps separated, and they will work... but if you use same files for both maps they will be founded in both packs. So you can export them to one folder, for example c:\TMP\Content\SeriousSam2\... and pack manualy after you overwrite same files...you get it?

Now these images are early days because recently my computer fell under a virus and I had to re-format my hard drive, so this is an early version that I had saved onto my memory stick. Anyway, this is the first level, and you start off and arrtillery blow up the ground around you, for the explosions I used lots of effects and not just a plain explosion effect, I used destroyable objects and mixed that with a screen shaking effect and other flames and explosion effects and debris. After this you continue your way through the trenches to find a pillbox ontop of a hill, ontop of the pillbox is a communications tower that offers artillery and air support (this gets destroyed by an onslaught of missiles!).
The mission in this level is being a sniper from the pillbox, that's basically it, more storyline and images will follow!!

But there's no enemies in the shot (possibly not in the level because he had to start again from an earlier version) so he probably couldn't make a gory shot

Plus he's mostly showing off his nice FX

Nice, mapman! Too bad I don't play any custom maps in SS1, but I may check out this one. Just make sure to make the map interesting and, if suitable, build in a story. But don't forget to throw enemies around our ears!

You just gave me an great idea... that is what is missing in SS2 maps, SS1 style of maps, with lot of traps ant ambushes...

Btw, cool things on those pics...but i have one thing to say, texture on building on hills maybe have small texture, you know, its repeated twice on that wall, so it looks small from far away... set U offset to 1 and add detail texture in 2nd layer and ok... But thats just how would i do it, its just advice...
