Default Help with .SCS

1. When I extract and try to edit them from the default resources, editor complains about them not being signed with valid credentials.

2. None of the help options in SED3 seem to do anything.

3. Where can I find the sound event names for each weapon? That is, the names by which the game identifies each animation "part" like mag out, fire etc.

1. You don't export stuff from the gro files, unless sound files (wav,mp3,ogg), or text (txt, nfo, tbl). For sounds, you need to find them in the Sounds folder. For everything else, you have to use the editor to open them. The editor reads the files in the gro files by default, so you can open them without extracting them.

2. Yep, they are not really working.

3. Normally, in the animations themselves, but I think for SS3, those are hardcoded.

Thanks for the info! Since the double shotgun has 1 sound event, I'm guessing that I'd have to embed more in the animation to add separate reload sounds. So is there a way to edit or decompile the stock anims?

Hey, you're that guy who mods L4D2!

Sound files do not have the common names they have in Source games, they have very different names in this game.

To open a .gro file and extract them, you open them with winrar, you might find what you want if you go to the "All_0X.gro" files.
