The only reason you'd want to use OnLive is if your PC is very outdated, especially considering modern PC games have relatively low requirements for maximum settings.

Witcher 2 would like a word with you. Medium settings maybe, but definitely not maxed.

Those exceptions are rare when the high requirements are due to high graphical quality rather than lack of optimization.

I can not say I am interested in Witcher 2 but I hope more publishers follow the example of using GOG. This is like the first time a brand new game appears on Good Old Games. DRM free ftw.

Yea but they said that was an exception, since CDProject RED are their sister company and whatnot. Sure would be great if they got a Good New Games thing going with DRM free new/newer games...

I wonder, how many sales DID The Witcher 2 make on GOG?

Dear God yes, anything to destroy the atmosphere of that game.

Seriously though, they were offering it for free for the first 24 hours after its release on OnLive. Why wouldn't I at least try it? There's no way I would buy Amnesia on Steam for any more than $3-$5 anyway. Not because it's a bad game, but because I'm a wuss and have very little desire to play it.

Can OnLive even run it in 1080p at 60 fps?
Heck no, and even if it could, it would still look horrible. The compression on their video is pretty awful. That and it seems like their computers are far from top of the line gaming machines. My computer runs games similarly if not even better than theirs, and I'm running a several year old Intel Core 2 Duo machine with an NVidia 9800 GTX+.

I'm *sure* they'll respond with something like: "Why evil_Vasile, that's such a great idea! I wonder how come NOBODY else thought of it before you did?! Oh and we're totally not being sarcastic or anything like that!"

Well, just finished Hydrophobia, Trine, and Portal 2.

Time to go back to Dead Space 2 I guess, and try to finish that waste of time game.

I am really bad at Serious Sam: First Encounter. I'm only playing on Normal and I'm still dying all over the place...

I finally got ME1 on PC, so I did a run on that so that I can import it into ME2, and later into ME3.

I've also returned to playing a bit of Dead or Alive 4. My God... what an awesome game.

I haven't actually played it in a while, but I'm gonna talk about it anyway since the forums were down when I beat it.

Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. I can't say enough good things about it. It's got the awesome gameplay of ACII but with more variety (a lot more), and what feels like mountains of content. There's so much stuff to do in this game it's just ridiculous.

One of the things I like most about Brotherhood is that it keeps all the improvements to the gameplay made in ACII, but makes a return to the more ominous atmosphere of AC1. I grew to love the more magical atmosphere of ACII, but I really enjoy the "weight" of Brotherhood and AC1.

I can honestly say that Assassin's Creed is one of my favorite new IPs of this generation. I'd also call it one of the few genuinely "next generation" titles that came from this generation. Not only does it look beautiful, but the parkour technology and the overall style of the game is something I've never seen before. Truly one of the greats, and I can't freaking wait for AC: Revelations later this year.

Both Altair and Ezio in the same game? Yes, please!

Fable III and Portal 2 with a side of Terraria.

Fable III is really entertaining and the start of the game was really tragic. =S Never have I had to make such a choice! Haha but yeah I think it's great.

Portal 2 is meh.

Loving Terraria, best way to waste my freaking time during study breaks.

Correct me if I'm wrong but the arrow keys are quite useful for those who are wrongleft handed.

I've been using WASD for a VERY long time but... I always wonder... Wouldn't it be more practical to use ESDF instead? I started wondering that back when I palyed wow and was running out of hotkeys around the WASD area. I guess for most games you wouldn't need extra keys and it'd probably be weird until you got used to ESDF, but in the long run it would probably be worth it.

Well, I tend to use W/A/S/D, I/J/K/L and Num4/Num8/Num5/Num6 when playing emulators. Beat that. (wasd for the main analog stick, ijkl for directional pad, numkeys for the action buttons - and z,x, num1,2 for extra analog stick if needed), or sometimes 1,2,3,4 for dpad in games where you don't really need it.

Any keys in the mid row should be fine for replacing WASD. I guess it's just easier to reach the ctrl, alt and spacebar from there though (and esc...and tilde...and tab ).

Well, I am actually NOT left handed (although sometimes I say I am, to beat off the haters).
But, I have large hands and long fingers.
Playing with wasd, I just keep hitting every single other key that is around them by accident.
Arrow keys allow me to:
1. NOT hit any surrounding keys by mistake.
2. Allow me to 'relax' my wrists/hand/fingers, instead of having to 'claw' for wasd.
3. Not have to re-memorize any key layouts.

So, take that, interwebs guyz.
Hehe

What, the gamepad?!! No, just no. Maybe if it were made of icecream... but no freakin way, who knows where that's been.

The Witcher 2 on hard can be... well, hard.
There's this guy called Letho kicking my ass near the end of Act 1; the evil bastard.

The funny part is... Although I played very few games on a console (God of War games / Shadow of the Colossus on a friends' ps2) and won't actually get a console any time soon, I'm actually *not so secretly* curious about how multiplayer FPS games feel on a console, you know... with a controller and all. It just seems so unnatural to me that it has some sort of forbidden fruit effect.
