Question Too much blood

Is it possible setup level of blood? I looked video with gameplay and I think in the game is too much blood... Zero blood is not a solution But current level is too much

thank you.

There'll be probably hippy mode, so monsters will bled flowers.

It would be neat to be able to set the level of gore that is created, but I am sure there will be hippy mode and other blood settings if the gore is a bit too much for you.

Hmm, you know, that would actually be a great idea! I remember some of the old iD games had a gore-level setting, I _think_ it wouldn't be too hard to implement that in SS3, if not on release than maybe in a patch later on.

(Maybe it could be configurable through console commands? Maybe someone should check if that's the case in the HD games, if it is then it most likely will be doable in SS3 too...)

What?

I don't want to mess around with console commands. I want a fancy UI with a Gnaar that bleeds from his eye (like a fountain), and then I adjust the amount of blood that comes out with a slider

You will be able to change and tweak the blood settings as with previous games, so no worries
options will hopefully include:
-changing blood color
-hippie and/or candy blood
-no blood at all

He isn't looking for colour changes or no blood at all, he wants to be able to configure that middle ground between current amount of blood and no blood at all, or in other words; he wants less blood, not no blood. A cvar seems like a good idea and perhaps Croteam are even ahead of us there. The SS HDs have cvars that control how long blood and corpses stay around before they disappear for example.

HAHAHA

Great idea.

Maybe we could even set the level of melee?
Instead of ripping a gnars eye out, maybe we just poke him in the eye instead?

HAHAHAHA

How about a GUI console? With this, everyone wins! *derp*

In the lowest setting, maybe both of them could sit down and talk out their differences?

Isn't this the part where we're supposed to go "that's because Sam is all man" and "how can there be too much blood in an SS game?" and similar lines? Or maybe just quote Rick Knuckles?

No? well, nevermind me then .

The blood is never enough. I'd just rather see my screen filled with opaque red color and be happy.

And instead of real guns Sam and the enemies could use nerf guns and super soakers.

That's so rough and uncivilized! Settle Your differences with a game of chess, like real gentlemen.

Hmmm... I call Serious Sam: The Chess Encounter!

That's brilliant! Each fight with each enemy could be a chess encounter!

That would have thousands of hours of gameplay! Talk about value for money!

I'd rather have a debate with every enemy discussing the futility of xenocide and the meaning of life in general while enjoying a delicious cup of Earl Grey and some crumpets. Failing that, an exhilarating game of cricket, obviously. Tally-ho!

There we go. An excellent feature suggested to Croteam. Croteam actually listens to their fans, so don't be surprised if you see it. I hope this at least.

Chess? Good idea. With the dumber enemies he would just talk about the problems. Or solve it with a "rock paper scissors".

There should be a setting for rivers of blood, like from Shogun Assasine.

And instead of people running all over the place wearing themselves out, we could just have people movers, parallel to each other running in opposite directions, with sam on one, and enemies on the other.

That would be an awesome mod for the SS games. I still have Duke Caribbean: Life's a Beach and all the weapons in that expansion are water guns if I remember correctly.

The pistol is a water gun, shotgun is a super soaker, if I remember right, the chaingun is a rapid blowtube, the RPG is a coconut launcher, the pipebomb is a pineapple, the Devastator is a pair of clams, the tripbomb is some vodoo thing, the shrinker is a vodoo ring and the Freezer gun is an icecube maker.

Back when I running my SOF2 Clan and servers I did some mods too. There were Blood Mods where they increased the Blood sprites. I have a video on my Steam Account were you can see headshot decaps blood explode and then fountain of blood flows from neck- I loved it!

But I got an idea myself for a mod. Since I would use Bots to fill the servers until a Human would enter. I took 2 other MP sprites and instead you saw & heard headshot decap smoke puff and then electric sparks coming from the neck. I called my mod WestWorld. It was a popular for my clan only client MP Mod.
