Default Releasing all the work done on SSF?

I remember reading before the crash that some devs were thinking about releasing all the work done on the mod so that another group can pick it up or at least let us see how far they got before progress stalled. Any word on that?

Yes, it'd be pointless to keep that much effort to yourselves, even if that many people wouldn't play it imo.

The SS community is small enough that releasing an incomplete mod would be a breath of fresh air, as far as new content goes.

Any news on releasing all the work for SSF to the public? It'd be a shame to have it just rot away on somebody's PC when it's obvious so much work was put into it.

I've talked with our programmer and we are going to try and get what we have done released.

There are gaps in the campaign so we may link the ones that do exist to each other just to allow a somewhat coherent playing session.

The project repository is online now. That's about it. We need to do some testing to see what is ready to be put out.

I know they got work started on Dunes, Suburbs and Alley of the Sphinxes, along with art for the Reptiloid, Beheaded enemies, frog, Lava Golem, Red Mech, Fish and Bull. It's a decent enough state that you can play it in multiplayer.

Yeah, I recently tried out the multiplayer demo, and I was quite impressed. It was really fun, 2 things are missing--Flame thrower and chainsaw! Haha, but I'm not going to complain, they've done a great job so far. Cannot wait until there is enough done to where we can play the single player.

I don't think they were planning on adding the Chainsaw or Flamethrower because they weren't in TFE. The Sniper was only in the game for multiplayer.

Oh, so this is a TFE only remake? And that sucks... I love TSE. Oh well.
