Looks more like a mod made with the current version of the game. :/

(Especially since that parrot and those ammo textures are included in the game files)

But what about the IGN logo, the different sounds, the sort of different music(It sounds a bit different for me) and the Voodoo Gnaar after the cannon?

That weapon couldn't be included without coding

Yeah, kinda looks like a mod rather than an alpha vid to me. Sound could be changed (same for music, altho it sounds identical to the final version's.), the IGN logo could be slapped onto the vid easily, and the weapon in the 9th slot could've been added with some SDK work, I guess. Dunno if this is real or not.

But either way, holy shit that Rocket Launcher fires fast. o_o

Edit: That tag should be added to every beta/alpha/prerelease-related subject we talk about from now on.

Kazuya= Beta.

Me = Oldschool FPS; most points are leveldesign, variety of Enemies, Characters, graphic should look naturally and fit in gamestyle.

Also i'm for innovation in storyline.

Less scripts of course.

What was the blue thing that was thrown at Sam at 0:02? Left side of the screen. I don't remember any enemies throwing grenades or anything like that in SS2. But then again, it's been years since I've played it.

I'm "surprised" (*cough*I'MJOKINGHEDOESN'T EVENKNOWSABOUTTHISVIDEOEXISTANCE*cough*) kazuya haven't came to this thread saying that supposedly this was scrapped due to <Insert 13 years response here>.

Anyways, that vid's pretty cool, I agree with Devostator and Solais, this looks genuine enough to be real.

And viper45, yes, those blue things are thrown by Orc Commander, I made a mod that replaces common grenade with that blue grenade though.

Nice found Devostator

I don't want to be a douche but this vid was on the net for years now...

EDIT: this is not the E3 build as it has a differend hud, e3 had a xbox ss 1 kind of hu, andd somekind of final icons + it has some unknown icons... also this isn't the second alpha which had a differend rocket launcher from that, and the final, so a betweenbuild...

also i identified the HUD, chainsaw, chainsaw 2 (worked like ut ripper), zap gun, colt, multi shotgun, 2x shotgun (seems that they already updated the KUBURA which was in the E3 (as HUD icon), uzi, RL, Grenade L,plasma, sniper, klodovik, cannon, serious bomb (might be the early e3 version), something strange, looks like a differend serious bomb

EDIT: the rocket launcher is a later version (fixed) of the E3 one, but it's not the build 2 one...so yes, a between build... not so interesting at all...

EDIT: might be... but im not sure it looked familiar to me when i watched it today...

HUD... the second vid has the KUBURA and the weapon icons look like from xbox ver of original sam, but the interesting thing on the first video is the very last weapon that i can't indentify might be a final s bomb-.....

That nuke cannon texture you showed looked just like a test texture not like a real nuke cannon texture.
And I actually think the nuke cannon never existed. Maybe the cannon was called so before, because it shoots Uran projectiles and these are radioactive

that was the real deal (texture), nuke cannon 2 theorys

1.A very early Cannon
2.A alternate cannon, pressing the same key he can choose between nuke and cannon...

As far as I know, the Nuke Cannon was actually a cannon with alternate ammo.

2 CHAINSAWS!! 1 was the normal chainsaw, and other had ammo and worked like the ripper from unreal tournament, the blade was vertical.... then serious bomb early model (see above, devastators pic)... but also in the beta sam had differend, black handgloves (from the xbox version) and minigun,rlauncher and glauncher had a screen, also the plasma gun was kind of more lighter (maybe). but the pipes didn't move.... also the other csaw, had differend hud icon... basicly the whole hud might represent the earlyest ss2 alpha because it had 2 chainsaws (modified ss2 hud), pistol,cannon,minigun,rlauncher were like ss xbox (in the hud), grenade launcher was somekind of the same, plasma gun also, sbomb the one above....

Indeed, just how alternate ammo would work for weapons now in SS3, if it was possible: Having two copies of the same weapon, and switching between the two copies. Just like in Next Encounter.

As for the SS2 stuff you said, all those were known long before. When SS2 got released, I was already surfing the forums and I've seen discussions about them. The Beam Gun is well known, the Voodoo Gnaar model is held by the Simba Shaman, and as for the blade shooting chainsaw (that was again technically one weapon with two copies) was also recreated withing Insamnity 2.

There are of course other scrapped stuff, like Twin Ughzans in Mental Institution, the Spaceship boss level that was supposed to be the last, and the whole episode of Pechina, a desert planet, which was before Kronor, and many of its assets were used for the first two levels of Kronor, and some bit of it in the Desert Arena.
