As you all know, Sam has a sister. And her name is Sammy. She's decided to take a detour through Egypt this time around and visit the Revolution as a new playable model in the game!

It's summer! And you know what that means. That's right, extra protective wallets for the Steam summer sales. Revolution is on sale! Get it for yourself or your friends for 90% off!
  • Added the Serious Sammy player model!
  • Added a custom speed scalar to enemies in the editor.
  • Added a Destroyer enemy for modding.
  • Removed the libpng dependency, and added the ability to create textures from several more file formats.
  • Fixed not all crosshairs showing in the options.
  • Fixed Steam achievements and statistics not working most of the time since the last patch.
  • Fixed missing shadows in lava caves in Land of the Damned.
  • Fixed some issues with CCC, and added !ban command to CCC.
  • Fixed the time needed for the gold medal in Mental's Needle.
  • Fixed a crash when creating a new model in Serious Modeler.
  • Fixed some (old alpha) enemies giving negative scores.
  • Fixed Sam running around in circles in The Great Pyramid like a record baby round round round round
  • Fixed a bunch of other minor things, including crashes and silly mistakes in levels.

Why is it that there are so many updates to this game and yet none of them fix the real problems with it? Make it so people can play the game without getting dropped from servers for no apparent reason, without server slots being filled with phantom players so nobody can join, and without phantom copies of servers being listed in the server list. Not randomly crashing when trying to join a server would be nice too.

Just a thought.

I like how that banner model seem to have nothing in common with whatever it is put in the game itself. Why don't just use the original Xbox model which was superior even to SSHD version? And why blonde hair?

Seriously.. your #1 priority this entire time should have been fixing the netcode problems. That was the main complaint with the game... ever. It's unplayable online in its current state. You really need to fix that or all of your efforts are pointless.

I wouldn't say it's unplayable, we're having a developer killing party every night that we do an update and it's been going well. But there's still some Steam networking overheads that need to be tweaked (we already did a lot of that in a few patches ago which improved stability a lot), I'll see if we can improve on that.

Also, unlisted in the changelog, we did do some behind the scenes improvements that are likely to improve network stability as well.

Thank you for working on this. I hope I don't sound like I'm beating you down with this. I'm just frustrated at what happened at our event recently. I'd like to do more Rev events but some things just have to be fixed for it to be enjoyable for everyone. I hope you understand.

I feel I might go with Louva about fixing the game. Regarding the Serious Sammy model, you should have used her HD model, or the old model. Those models are somewhat better.

As far as I'm aware, we *did* use her HD model, just a lower-poly LOD model so that it would fit more with the theme of the game.

Nope, looks nothing like the SSHD model or any of its LODs.

If it really is the HD one, why does it look so broken compared to the SD/XBOX and/or HD one.

Did you or they simplify the mesh wrong?

Also about the Destroyer enemy, it would've been better if you mentioned it is a variation of the Fiendian Demon enemy, I almost thought it was something new
Variations are fine to me but next time do mention that
