Another idea from me:

Serious Sam 4 Memories

Sam sleeps or isn't awake from a comatose state, cause of acrashed spaceship or medicinal reasons.

The Campaign Episodes 4-5 pieces, take place on different scenarios like Egypt, SElike, NE, completely new ones + Sams Hometown which is a little like GTA with SS typical Enemies Invasions.

Also weapons materialize they didn't respawn. In some parts could be RPG or GTAlike Elements, other parts are straight FPS Parts.

About Old School FPS only 1 point: More dragged in into a Story or a Superhero which can blast from begin away all Alien Crap?

Another Idea SS meets James Bond or Secret Agent Like for SSx:

Sam works as Agent Sam to kill his Archenemy Mental. He starts from Great Britain, had a spaceship which you can visit between Missions + many Assistents. Netrisca is now a more Stealthlike Tool for, well, Stealth Missions, also i would have a Multichoice Dialog options + Talking NPC's + Boss Enemy Helper NPC's.

Every Map looks like out of Agency Movies from 1950's til 199x max. The Music and Quotes + Dialogs would be awesome too.

Ofc several SS Enemies get several side jobs.

I think we should make simple block enemies as a template to experiment on different types of enemy behaviors, their function and role in the battlefield. Especially how well they work with other enemies.

What about SS X TGMoATE (The Greatest Movies of all Time Encounter) with Sam as Main Char + 10-20 Episodes with 3 Maps, includes DLC's too. Special Weapons like a Whip + Light Sabers for each episode + many different Sam Player Models, look of the Movies + Shirt with SB.

Although this was probably suggested before:


INCLUDE THE GUNSTACKER (if double d devs would let you)

Premise: runs on electrical packs, rare and runs out of them quickly, has about 4-5 slots to put existing weapons (autoreload). Can fire one at a time or two or three simultaneously


This is to make the game extra crazy, would totally love to see this.

Serious Sam is a really good game, and we play the single player over and over again. I'm pretty sure more than half of us here have at least 100 completes, single player + coop.

So here's an idea, lets randomize a bit the experience so it's not exactly the same each time. For example we can have random weather, so during one playthrough it will be sunny, during another will be cloudy with ocasional storms, during a third it will be foggy, during a forth playthrough, who knows, maybe a tornado will pass by and make a mess

Also maybe we can do something about the time of day, for example each time a new game is started, the starting hour will be chosen randomly, and the time will pass in real time till the end of the game (though maybe sped-up a few times so that we can go through at least 1 day-night cycle before we finish the game.

What if ducking only slows your speed only slightly and can be used to dodge some attacks that cannot be dodged in some way? That would add a new element of movement when trying to kill enemies. Having to duck in an open field is different than having to duck behind cover.

Funny thing is:

Projectiles too fast compared to player: hide (usually, unless there are other wais for the enemy to stop firing)). Examples: Arachnoid.
Bullets relatively fast: keep moving one direction. Examples: Most enemies with projectiles in Serious Sam 2.
Medium-speed bullets: time for slalom. Examples: Beheaded rocketeer, major biomechanoid.
Slow-speed bullets: go whereever. Examples: Player on serious speed powerup.

I think this game needs a few enemy types which spam slow bullets but they spam a lot of them.

I think croteam has put too many sewer levels into serious sam, but theres a sewer on 1st encounter, serious sam II. I think I heard earlier no more sewer levels i think.
