Behold more work done on the map. Somewhere underground you will come across a temple you have to figure out how to escape.




I think it might be a good idea to make the first post the hub of information. A lot of the screenshots were uploaded to ImageShack and are gone, so I could reupload those along with information about the campaign itself. All in favor?

Looking good, but you might want to rethink about the torch flame color. I know that color-coding rooms with lights are a good thing, but placing them nearby like in Screenshot 2, 4, and 5 makes them conflict a bit with each other. Especially screenshot 4, it should all be red color behind the slab (unless you leave one blue as a clue to a secret area).


Also, why the fuck are you using imageshack in the first place? It's infamous for deleting pics all the time, same with tinypic. Use imgur.

I like the atmosphere you get from having different colors of lighting. Both of them have the same soft glow, so they don't really conflict. It feels more atmospheric to me than having only grey unsaturated lights like 80% of the custom maps have. And that huge slab actually serves a purpose in the level, so it must stand out.

Back in the period of this thread's first page (somewhere in 2012) ImageShack was one of the best choices for hosting images. I left it for Dropbox soon after, but the screenshots hosted on ImageShack are long gone now. That's why I'm considering updating the first post with new screenshots and info on different aspects of the campaign.

Sadly I'm having some computer problems, so there's not much to show. I do have a top-down screenshot of the interior of a big fortress I'm working on. The level progression here is linear, but the path will loop back into itself with shortcuts and optional areas to discover for the wary traveler with a keen eye (and sense of direction).

The are in the middle with the three jaguar statues is the central chamber, which you will be seeing a lot and is your focal point since a lot of the areas will lead back there. The grid size in the picture is 16 units, in case anyone is curious.

I released one map a long time ago and it wasn't that great. It was called Temple of Death. Anyway, the only website that had a download mirror is long gone. Pretty sure there is no way to get it anymore. Anyway, aside from that I had a lot of ambitious projects that never got completed. Like most mappers
