Maybe ragdolls weren't meant to be used on bouncers so weren't coded in to do so or maybe part-coded

Have you noticed yet that when you resize props that they increase and decrease in weight when you pick them up accordingly?

Don't worry about the map getting normal all over again. There are some parts in the map where it starts to get almost normal and beliveable, until you start seeing odd things all over again. I don't want to overwhelm the player with the weirdness anyway, so there are some relaxing spots where Sam gets his thoughts together, until he gets nearer the damaged sector of his mind and starts getting insane again

The next part of this map will look and feel like the "Pit" level from SE. I'll make some kind of an odd dungeon complex filled with bouncy floors, walls and ceilings. Of course there will be lots of enemies flying around too. And if you love crappiness, I could make a fight where you have to shoot huge piles of crap running towards you.

The problem with my map was that one of the buildings (actually one temple) was too bright. I solved this by just changing it's lightning to full-bright, repositioning some of the bloom and then adding one green light there. I doubt that's gonna help in your case though.

Insanity rulez!!!!!!! Make Sam to loose his mind for long!!!

And don't forget to add an upside-down terrain where you walk on some invisible polygon and a fishes that got stuck in a water. And use Simba model as a rollerball vehicle!

Well, first thing, it just took 2 months for me to master the basics (or even longer), but I don't have any modelling experience before.

You can request someone to teach you how to model (in just a week, and you will master the basics in no time).

2 months....so, considering that I'm much more dumber than you are (or so I think), I'd have learned the basics in february 2007 or so. SED2 took me only two weeks (basic things) but I still don't know over half of the features the editor has.

The only thing I have actually "modelled" in SED2 (with the exception of rooms, terrains and such) is a crappy spiky pillar I made some time ago. And it's wall texture is transparent from the outside (meaning that you can see the inside of the pillar), even though I checked the double-sided flag.

Well anyway, I might make a Gmod comic today. I've got the idea ready, and sorry, it's not Snowman's Showdown Part 2, but something else...

Hmm, hey, I learn the modelling by myself, so that's why it take two months. Normally, when you are taught by others, it shouldn't be that long, unless the teacher has no idea what he is teaching about either.

And I think no one (except beta-testers) has mastered everything yet. I call them god if they do

Well, it shouldn't. The comic is only 27 images long this time. And that's only part one of this comic- I'm planning to continue this comic all the way to the 100th episode, sometime in the future...(or, I'll just make it as long as I can - try calculating it like this: 27 images * 100 episodes- you'll get the idea.)

I've got the comic ready now, but I'll post it later in the evening as 27 800x600 sized pics. I hope Imageshack doesn't collapse to all the stuff I've sent there

The name of the comic is "The Life of Lord Kleiner". Kleiner has been in a car crash and he loses his memory. The only thing he remembers is that he is a teacher in the Combine Academy and needs to go there as soon as possible. Soon enough Kleiner meets the other driver of the car crash, who's still got his memory but isn't very happy that Kleiner survived...

I thought my previous comic was strange as well and didn't make any sense? I admit, they're pretty random.

(Edit: Be sure to check the backstory found one post before the actual comic, if you haven't done so already)

It'd take years to resize every image to one bigger one using paint, and the size would be massive anyway

Sorry, I couldn't resist adding an NPC there. I love doing conversations.

I've also learned a bit of modelling with Wings3D. It was much easier than I thought- so, now I just need to know if it's possible to import Wings3D models to SED2....(asked this in beginner problems thread as well). If someone knows how to do it, please tell me.

I'll add lights once I've got the shadowmap ready for the whole terrain.

Btw, I've already got the second crane's position fixed so that it no longer goes through the pillar (see first screenshot), that was just an old screenie. I've already added a big battle to fight and lots of pickups scattered across the arena, walls, and behind stuff.

Exporting from W3D to SED2 is possible. You just need to get a .RAW export plugin for W3D. I've posted a link to it a billion times in this forum already...

But Slawww, isn't modeling much EASIER in SEd2? I think W3D just got more features, but as for me - SEd2 is easier
The only thing I like in W3D is an easy edges editing

Easier in SED2? SED2 is 100,000,000 times harder than Wings3D for me. I dunno why, it's just simpler to "click away" using RMB and LMB in Wings3D, and it's interface is much simpler. Plus there's a great amount of tutorials made for it that will surely explain every aspect of the program, unlike SED2, which has a very limited selection of tutorials IMO.

For beginners like me, modelling in SED2 is very hard. If I had more experience, perhaps then I'd prefer SED2 over Wings3D.

Of course, not everything is so hard in SED2...macro is a good example. And if you don't know something, you can always ask someone to help thousands of times until they get bored.

Well, maybe SEd2 is easy for me, because I had experience with Lightwave Modeler before, and SEd2 is EXACTLY the same
The only thing i don't like in SEd2 is texturing.. It takes too much time i think
I'll write a tutorial "How to create a complex model using SEd2"
